Lanta Sand was the perfect hotel for me, I loved it! The location is great, directly on the sandy long beach, there are 4 swimming pools to choose from, sunbeds, nets to relax on, a nice massage place with view over the ocean. The breakfast buffet is amazing with a great variety of cold and warm food choices, both for European and Asian guests (fresh fruit, salad, cheese, salami, yoghurt, cereals, croissants, bread, butter, peanut butter, pancakes, waffles, rice, noodles, curry, sausages, baked beens, baked potatos, fried fish, fried beef, etc.). On Tuesday evening there is a traditional Thai Dance show, on Saturday evening there is a fire show. The rooms are very spacious and clean, they all have a balcony. There is actually only ONE thing which I didn't like about this hotel: the bathroom! The shower is open, no glass door, no.curtain, that means that the whole bathroom was flooded after every shower! Furthermore the water pressure is not good and the shower head is fixed on the wall and is too high to be reached (about 3 meter), so that taking a shower became kind of a nightmare. Please please do something in the bathroom, a shower curtain is very cheap! Otherwise the service was good and the staff was nice, no complaints at this end. There is also a Travel Office at the hotel, where you can book tours, bus and ferry tickets or rent a car or a scooter. I booked everything here, the prices are good and not higher than elsewhere. I would highly recommend this hotel and hope to come back soon!

The room is cozy and a little swimming pool which belongs to the room is cool. The breakfast is not worthy the price. The coffee is an instant coffee! They have a normal coffee machine but do not share it for a breakfast. This is a big misunderstanding (saving money or what?). Be ready that free shuttle from the Pier will not arrive and no one will pick up the phone at the hotel's reception.
