Klong Jark Apartment

Having first stayed here in 2020 we have returned numerous times over the years since – not many places have such a hold on our hearts. The location is a truly special place and Klong Jark Bungalows make it even more complete. The accommodation, restaurant and tourist services give us everything we could possibly need but it is the care and hospitality from the owners and the team there that means so much. We get looked after and feel as if every aspect of our visit is important to them, and they work so hard to create an environment that provides relaxation, comfort and a sense of being very lucky to be there. Far more than just a place to stay and eat, Klong Jark Bungalows is part of the magic and beauty of Ko Lanta.

A wonderful and relaxing place to stay, wonderful beach and sea, friendly staff and a very well organized manager. We loved the "real" cup of fresh coffee in the morning with sand between our toes, the refreshing fruit shakes in the shadow at noon and the delicious dinner at sunset. We'll come again!

We spent several days in this heavenly place. An excellent beach, a cozy house, a delicious cafe that can be reached barefoot.. This is the place where we will definitely return! Especially thanks to the very friendly hostess Sue and the staff. They made our stay on the island very comfortable, even when we moved to another hotel (unfortunately, everything was booked here)! Sue and the rest of the team sincerely helped us solve all our problems! And all our vacation we kept coming back to this beach and this cafe! PS And what lovely cats they have)

Best spot with maybe the best beach in Koh Lanta. We didn't stay there at their rooms but when we ask to hire a bike straight away help as. Greeted with the warmest of smiles and staff who could not do enough for us. Perfect food & service. Love Sue a Thai angel.

We were staying at the nearby Andalanta and discovered the fantastic food and drinks here. So much better than our hotel! Friendly staff and beautiful setting. Orange shake was the best I have had all holiday - fresh tasty fruit used. Had many dishes and loved them all. Glass noodle soup, chicken basil stir fry, chicken and cashew, spring rolls, pad Thai, chicken satay - all fantastic. Mango sticky rice was very nice too. We didn’t try their breakfast menu but lots appeared to be available.

Rudest female staff member I have ever come across. So, my husband and I decided to visit the beach today and wanted to walk through the resort or restaurant as we were planning on having lunch there and also as we were considering staying at the bungalows. We were met by a female member of staff who refused us entry to the restaurant unless we bought a drink there and then. I tried to explain we were just passing through but would have lunch there, she then told us to leave and when my husband went to the side of the restaurant she moved in front of us preventing us from walking that way. I have never encountered such rudeness and passive aggressive behaviour before when in Thailand and was extremely disappointed.

Me and my 3 friends stayed here for 5 days, and we can genuinely say that we have never in Thailand been treated better than here! The staff, especially Sue and her husband were so nice and treated us like we were family here! Being given really tasty cooked meals, having our rooms cleaned everyday (by their request) and also given helpful tips, recommendations, being driven into town by them and also lighting up a cozy bonfire on the beach for us EVERY sunset:) They really were so nice and always smiled and greeted us good morning every day! Even laundry here was cheap and they folded everything nicely and delivered it to our bungalows. Also getting to enjoy a beautiful fire show by their son every night and letting us join in on badminton and other activities by them＜3 A really heartwarming place that made us feel really special and appreciated! Even them offering us a free dessert on our last night and telling us how we have given them energy and how they enjoyed our stay with them! A real nice family!

We have been at Klong Jark Restaurant for two days in a row, the food is really delicious and the family who is running it are so kind (-: One of our best Thai dishes nu far! Fresh fish and everything is cooked in their open kitchen 👌🏽 many thanks to everybody at Klong Yark!

I feel the need to respond to the previous review. I have been coming to Klong jark since early 2000s. Its a blissful and beautiful place. I was present when Simon Peter L and his family we here. My experience of them was in stark contrast to their negative and untrue comments. It seems the crux of the issue was that they asked Sue (who is the kindest and most wonderful human you could every meet) booked them some onward transportation via a ferry. The family decided because their was a slight breeze they did not want to take the trip. The boats were sailing and so Sue quite rightly insisted that payment should be made. The gentleman refused. And left Sue 2000 TBT down. Their children were jumping all over the tables where food is served. They were asked politely that they did not let the kids do this. The family were not happy with this reasonable response. Simons mood was aggressive and bullish throughout. An extremely unpleasant man. Im not sure what they were expecting...... Klong Jark is about as authentic and beautiful that a traditional Thai resorts can get. The food is excellent and very reasonably priced compared to all other similar resorts (I have traveled this region for 20 + years) I do hope Simon peter L has gone back to Phi Phi. The very reason I dont not go there is to avoid such mean spirited tourists such as this chap, Summing up.... please Ignore his nasty, vitriolic review. My family witnessed his awful behaviour and the resort breathed a sigh of relief when they left. Bon voyage Simon Peter L. Please dont rush back. Maybe go to Ibiza next time?
