Taj Madikeri Resort & Spa Coorg

Taj Madikeri (Coorg) is by far the best Taj experience we have had as a family. We stayed at Taj Madikeri for three nights in November 2023 and we can’t wait to come back next year for at-least a week. Excellent service is a baseline expectation for experienced ‘Taj hoppers’, and Taj Madikeri staff are not only chosen well but it appears they are trained to perfection. We received a warm welcome on our arrival by Gloria, Ginil, Sujitha and Vinay (who also assisted us with meticulously tailoring our local travel plans). Ashish, Ricky and Chef A***deep went above and beyond towards meeting our dietary requirements, as well as ensuring that our needs as a young family with two under 5 yos were met with a smile. It was lovely of Taj Madikeri’s General ***ager Vikas Kumar to drop-in to say hello. Vinitha was wonderful with our kids in the children’s creche and we noticed in general how happy all of the employees are, with ***y having worked here for ***y years. This gives a good feeling of Taj Madikeri giving back to the community, and helping the local community to thrive. We were accommodated in premium villa, and the view from our room was breathtaking (see attached picture). We loved the fact that we were in the middle of a jungle, yet being able to avail luxuries and quality furnishings, and not piled on top of each other in yet another (and stale) 5 star experience. Big thanks to housekeeping staff, Sonu (and led by ***n) who carefully decorated our villa to honor two birthdays which we celebrated during our stay. A piece of heaven on earth, this property and its people, is a must visit for anyone who can spare a few days, or I rather say, someone in need of recuperation in the lap of Mother Nature.

Had a very comfortable and relaxed stay at the resort.The taj hospitality and service with a smile and especially effort taken by front desk ***ager Ms Rebita to make our stay memorable as the room which was allocated to us had an AC problem and she alloted us a premium villa which was very nice and spacious.She made sure that our stay was comfortable. Also Prem and Saksham at the restaurant took very good care of us at the restaurant for breakfast and dinner. Overall enjoyed the stay very much and kudos to taj hospitality

Food was awesome , baggi available everywhere to travel, hospitality at its best, no bothering of theft. Wonderful experiences of natural sounds

We were staying in Marriott Coorg and went over Taj Coorg for lunch. When we reached there 2 km before the main taj there is one security gate. He asked if we have reservation and we said no then he said you can’t enter it. Despite so much request he didn’t give permission to enter and even after speaking to restaurant ***ager Krishna and agreed to pay cover charges of 4000, his insistence to pay then and there before security was unheard inspite of our telling that we are your loyalty members and from Mumbai, this is not Taj Hospitality known to us for 40 years, we had to come back Hungry after travelling 40 kms from Marriott Coorg

This is a late review. We had travelled with our infant in October,2023.What a fantastic experience all round at Taj Madikeri...massive rooms and bathrooms with such a classic wooden feel...stunning property and views...great Spa experience...excellent touch with an indoor kid play area presided by a friendly staff...yummy food..stunning pool...fish and duck feeding..and more...the reception outside zone is serene...but what takes the cake here is the warm, incredibly courteous staff all around who made our stay so comfortable and memorable, with special attention given to our kid and all our requests taken care of. Special mention to Tressila at reception, Janak,Har****ha,Ricky,Akhil,Punita in the play area,Gowtham at the grill,Krithik our Dosa ***,Sonu from room service,Ronak,Prem,Laxita and Ram at the entrance. May have missed more names but you get the gist. Will be visiting again in the future surely. Thank you and all the best!

Impeccable service during stay and exceptional dining experience at Ferntree restaurant. Mr Prem restaurant ***ager will be make you enjoy the culinary experience

Splendid and beautiful location, just can’t describe in words. Most friends, warm, cheerful and helpful staff, always welcomed by each and staff on the property. Just not to us but I saw the same behaviour of them towards the other guests as well. Special shoutout to ***ger Rebita, Chef Dharani, Prem and his team. Delicious and sumptuous food. Have been to some other taj properties as well but the team here is way above the rest when it come to hospitality. Kudos to the team for a memorable stay. Rooms are beautiful, with great view and well equipped. In all an experience above all, experience to remember to stay on the heavenly adobe.

Stay was pleasant... The Room decoration by Sanjay was really Good. It was a good gesture to decorate the room. Overall a very good Property, greenery all around. Infinity view is awesome. Very good Swimming Pool ***** with Steam & Sauna facility. There are facility like Nature's walk, Kayaking, Zipline, Archery etc.

Awesome location and great hospitality. Nice rooms with great views. Lovely walks. Very good restaurants. Breakfast was very good with a great spread. One of the best lobby views. A nice heated pool and 2 days went in a jiffy. Will visit again.
