The Fair House Beach Resort & Hotel Reviews

We stayed at the hotel for 21 days. It was wonderful! We'll definitely be back next year 🌴 We had a suite in the main building and loved it. It was quiet, cozy, and comfortable for a family with 3 kids. Key advantages: Excellent Wi-Fi throughout the entire property. Breakfasts were decent; we never went hungry. All the hotel staff were absolute darlings, we miss you all so much 🩷 Good quality bedding and towels. Timely room cleaning. The hotel grounds are something else entirely 😍, like a jungle. Everything is beautiful and well-maintained. There's pleasant shade during the heat, and birds singing everywhere. Never had an issue with golf carts. Just a call and they'd be right there to pick you up. We often had lunch or dinner on-site – everything was delicious. The sea here is magnificent. The water color is fantastic. It's interesting to walk along the beach in both directions. Great location – everything is nearby. We rented a motorbike from the hotel, which was very convenient. Disadvantages: Coconuts on the property were a bit pricey, especially when you're staying for 21 days and drinking them daily. 😉 The pillows were a bit too high for us; we had neck pain. The lobby area on the first floor of our building was a bit depressing. The disadvantages were absolutely minor and didn't affect our vacation mood at all. I loved my stay at Fairhouse. I often travel to Thailand and so glad I found this place- it will now be my go-to every time. The beach is amazing. The rooms are big and kept clean every day. The carts are available at all times for guests to move around on the resort. Pros: close to a great beach, friendly service, conveniently located near ATM and 7-11. Cons: would have preferred two single beds as per request. I, at 35 years of age, don’t want to be sharing a bed my mother. (However, they did provide an extra blanket and extra pillows) We’ll definitely be back in June.

Wonderful hotel! This is our third time staying here. It has a pleasant, large, and green territory. A good beach with plenty of sun loungers. Delicious breakfasts.

This wasn't our first time staying at this hotel, and I love it with all my heart! The staff are so friendly! The grounds are huge and very well-maintained. The beach is clean and gets tidied up every day. The pools are spotless, and the bar and restaurant are excellent. Thank you for a wonderful holiday! See you again soon!

Beautiful hotel, but let down by poor reception service. The hotel itself is stunning, but unfortunately the experience was very mixed. On arrival, we weren’t welcomed properly and the reception staff were unhelpful and uninterested in assisting with any enquiries. While checking in, another guest was actively complaining about a strong smell in their room in the block near the gym. I specifically asked not to be placed in that same area — this was ignored, and we were put in that exact block. Our room did have an unpleasant smell and was also quite dated compared to the rest of the hotel. The gym has good equipment and opens early, but lights and air conditioning were not switched on, which was disappointing. The saving grace was the bell staff and concierge, who were absolutely excellent. One member went above and beyond to help us organise the Full Moon Party, arranging everything from hotel pickup and speedboat transfers to entry and return. Outstanding service from them. Sadly, the rude and dismissive attitude of the reception staff seriously let down what could be a great hotel. I had read similar reviews beforehand and assumed they were isolated experiences — unfortunately, that wasn’t the case.

Great location and friendly & helpful staff. However the room facilities can be better. The TV does not have enough channels (no movie in English to watch), the curtain could not be closed properly, the kettle was not working and we even found a millipede in the bathroom. We needed to call the room service a few times but thankfully the staff was fast and helpful.

Thank you for a fantastic stay at the Fairhouse, the rooms are a generous size, the pools are great and nice that there is an adults pool and a children’s pool with slides, the location on the beach is also tranquil and perfect and the food and happy hours fantastic. Special thanks to Khun Kim and Khun Bee to going out of their way to make our holiday and my birthday special, already look forward to coming again next year, Karp!

This hotel complex seems old and a bit tired- but aren’t we all. My room wasn’t as clean as I’d like, with hairs from previous guests still being visible around the bath and on one of the towels. I had a very comfortable stay here nonetheless- the beds are big, the water is hot, and the setting is well thought out and beautiful. The staff at the front desk were lovely, very friendly and informative.

The resort was nice enough if you’re on a budget. The hotel itself is quite long vertically so our family villa was far from the beach and there was a bit of a trek down stairs to get down to the beach but they do have a little shuttle you can call if you don’t want to go down a bunch of stairs. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating to our requests. The breakfast buffet was ok. They had a great fire show Saturday night on the beach and we reserved a table for that at the hotel restaurant by the beach. The beach in front of the hotel was a bit coarse on the feet so best to wear water shoes. The sand was yellow hence why it’s called Yellow Beach. This is Chaweng Noi so a bit different than Chaweng. Just be aware but if you don’t care about the quality of the sand, I think anyone would be happy with this hotel.

We had a nice bungalow on the beach. Spent just over a week at Fair House and we had a great experience! One or two of the beachfront rooms are a little noisy and crowded due to proximity to big massage areas and/or pool, but luckily we ended up in one of the rooms just down the beach a few steps. The location of the resort is awesome. Chaweng Noi is the nicest beach we've been to on Samui during our couple trips to the island. It's not that active, but is very beautiful and peaceful, plus there are a couple of dining options. I would recommend the Sheraton's Blue Monkey beach bar/restaurant probably over Fair House restaurant, to be honest. The prices were certainly higher there, but the quality was substantially higher as well. With that being said, Fair House's service and breakfast were both plenty nice! The service staff were all pretty great, even if they had been there all day. In addition, if you want to get out of the resort area, there are a lot of options within a 20ish minute walk from the rooms, and even more options if you are okay walking a bit more, hopping on the resort shuttle, or calling a car (within 10 minutes drive or so). Overall, a lovely trip!

This is the second time I have stayed at Fair House Beach Resort and our trip was wonderful. All the staff members were kind and friendly with special mention to Bee and Pearl. The location is perfect, with access to the pool and beach. We enjoyed the breakfast and freshly made omelettes. The only suggestion I would make is to replace the bedroom pillows as ours were very hard! Other than that, the stay was perfect!

Our deluxe bungalow was about the size of a hotel room. I was expecting a bigger room. Breakfast was very good. We had a late check-in despite arriving early and the hotel refused our request for a late check-out.
