The front desk staff's service quality is really poor; I wouldn't recommend this place for Chinese guests. I strongly suspect most of the staff here are prejudiced against Chinese people, which significantly dampened my travel mood. However, the housekeeping staff were very polite, and the room was quite clean. The hotel environment itself is decent.

The hotel appears much older than what is shown in the photos online, and the condition of the furniture and amenities is quite poor. Even small details—like the room entrance door or the ironing board—clearly show wear and lack of maintenance. The breakfast options are very limited and not particularly tasty, which was disappointing. Additionally, the staff seemed more focused on using their phones than attending to guests, resulting in poor service overall.

The hotel's strong points are the breakfast and the beach! + The breakfasts are great and varied, with two coffee machines and plenty of different dishes. Vegetarians will always find options and vegetables. + The beach in front of the hotel is now superb. It's cleaned regularly; before, this part of the beach wasn't great, but now it's amazing – turquoise, clear water, and a gentle entry. Keep in mind that the sun on Chaweng Noi sets by 5 PM. + The two dogs on the beach are very kind, affectionate, and cute. I miss them dearly! + The massage on the beach at the hotel is truly excellent, especially with the two older ladies – it's the best. There was no point in going elsewhere to try; the massage here is very good for a great price. + I really liked the parking attendant who helps you get onto the main road; he's very friendly and does a great job. - I didn't like the check-in process. I arrived at the hotel at 2 PM, and they said check-in was from 3 PM (the information at the front desk stated check-in from 2 PM, and the rooms are tiny, so I guess they lack cleaning staff). They offered for me to wait by the pool, which led to a fuss over towels. Then I went back at 4 PM for check-in, and everything was still ambiguous. They first offered a worse room, which I've never experienced before, especially since it was my first time staying there. After I declined, a better one was offered. It all felt rather unwelcoming. - The Wi-Fi throughout the entire property is terrible; you have to chase after it. In other hotels, Wi-Fi works even if you're 50 meters away, not just if you're standing right in front of it on the beach or in the hotel's gym. - The gym is just awful; nothing has been updated since it was built. There's a broken seat on a bench that's just placed on top, dumbbells are in terrible condition, a broken treadmill that wasn't fixed in 7 days (and who knows how long it's been like that), and a smelly air conditioner that's dangerous to breathe. I've never seen anything like it; it directly shows their attitude towards guests, as does the broken shower on the beach, which also wasn't fixed in 7 days. The hotel is decent. For the price it used to be (4-5 thousand), it was excellent, but at twice that price, it definitely doesn't live up to it. The room is small and ordinary, but the size and photos were accurately displayed on the aggregator, so I have no complaints there. Everything is, of course, old and worn, not for the squeamish or those who prefer sparkling clean fixtures. I would visit the hotel again if it were at a lower price. I wish them luck in dealing with all the shortcomings and hope for their continued prosperity!

This was a gorgeous place to spend Christmas. The pool, gym, and private beach are outstanding. The grounds are clean and comfortable. It’s about a 15 minute ride to the bars and 20 to the airport keeping it all close without the noise and disruption.

The hotel environment is nice, and the pool faces the beach. The breakfast selection and taste are also good. However, the hotel is located in the middle of a main road, so you need to be careful of traffic from different directions when driving out. Of course, the security guards do help watch the road, but it's still not very convenient. There are several sea-view restaurants nearby, all with good food and ambiance, worth trying. We stayed in two hotels on Chaweng Beach, and Impiana is situated in a bay area of the beach, so the waves were quite strong. The room isn't cleaned automatically every day; you have to request it. One morning, I asked the front desk for cleaning, but when we returned to the hotel in the evening, it hadn't been cleaned. Also, after sleeping there one night, my child and husband both developed skin allergies, and we're not sure if it was due to the bedsheets.

The hotel is in a perfect location, we had a large room with a huge bed. The rooms are clean and tidy. A large balcony where we enjoyed the beautiful view. Breakfast was also good and varied. Excellent.

Amazing hotel with all facilities. The hotel has a private beach where you can see the sunrise, the beach is clean, not so crowded. Hotel’s staff is helpful and kind, they assisted in everything, they helped us to get our luggages as well without us asking them. The hotel has also a swimming pool. Our room was on the fourth floor with a sea view and a balcony. The restaurant is a bit pricey but you can have lunch/dinner right by the beach. Definitely will get back to this hotel when I am back to Koh Samui.

Five night stay at Impiana in a sea view room. Location is at the quiet end of Cheweng Noi so many times especially early in the morning it felt like you had the beach to yourself. The downside as others have mentioned is that it is on the main ring road with no footpaths so it is hard to get to restaurants and shops without either taking a grab, braving the highway, or walking down the beach and cutting through another resort. The included breakfast was excellent and the meal we had in the restaurant was also good. Other dining options are available at other hotels via the beach. We enjoyed having dinks and playing pool at the beach bar in between swimming in the ocean or pool and having a massage on the beach next to the resort. Whilst the hotel is a bit dated, and where I was staying was up a number of stairs, the rooms were clean and beds comfy. Rooms were serviced daily with fresh bath and beach towels. Staff were friendly and helpful and arranged a car and driver for a day excursion.

Great stay overall. I actually extended my stay because I liked the place so much. The sound of the ocean from the room was amazing and the beach here is truly beautiful. Breakfast was pleasant, the room was comfortable and housekeeping was good. The price is very reasonable for what you get. I wouldn’t call it a luxury five-star resort, but it’s a solid four-star experience. I would happily come back again.
