A very pleasant stay overall, and for sure will be my stay of choice when I come again. Front desk service The gentleman on shift is very friendly, attentive, and helpful throughout the process from me considering to book a room to arrival and checking out. He had provided really helpful information, answered WhatsApp messages promptly, and has given helpful advice about local interests spots. With such friendly assistance it has truly made my stay very pleasant and the whole process easy and smooth! Superb and thank you! Room I booked a classic double room which is on the first floor with big windows overseeing the hill. Very clean, very quiet. The electric heater and the extra blanket are very helpful in this time of the year ~! The bed is very comfortable. Provided me a nice, quiet rest. Little settee and table are enough to let me enjoy a comfortable sitting around and do my reading, and a good spot to enjoy the food brought to the room too~ Toilet and bathroom : Very clean. Nice clean and thick towels. Water is very hot when need be, and powerful shower! Restaurant Delighted to have found spare ribs on the menu, not many places serve spare ribs. The dish that I tried was really tasty, and delicious and big portion as well! Very reasonably priced. The restaurant serves a wide variety of food. Service was really good. The staff there tried best to serve you the best, speedy, pleasant and friendly. Very good that food can be sent to the room for enjoyment. Complimentary breakfast has a wide variety as well, and it’s very decent! If the restaurant can provide special coffee that would even be more attractive~ Nearby attractions and transportation Within 5-10 minutes leisure walk you can reach very scenic spots overseeing the valley of Kohima. There is a nearby “Where the Food” restaurant right next to the scenic spots, where you can enjoy food overawing the valley. On a good sunny day another pleasant walk 20-25 minutes will take you farther downtown with nice cafes and others. Very convenient. I have enjoyed the stay thoroughly! Our 3-day stay at Niraamaya Retreats was truly wonderful! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted warmly with smiles and tea — a gesture that immediately made us feel at home. The staff were extremely courteous and caring throughout, making the whole experience feel very personal and homely. The rooms were cozy, clean, and well-maintained, with everything thoughtfully arranged for comfort. The multiple common areas were a great touch — perfect spots to relax, unwind, or simply enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Room service was excellent and always prompt. Food deserves a special mention — deliciously prepared, beautifully served, and reasonably priced. The check-in and checkout process was smooth, and the on-call cab service made local travel easy. What touched us most was the heartfelt farewell we received at the end of our stay — a perfect conclusion to a delightful retreat. My husband and I had a wonderful two-day business trip at Niraamay Retreats, Aradura, Kohima, and it was an absolute delight. The hotel offers stunning views from the room and its picturesque grounds create a peaceful ambiance. Our suite was spacious, featuring a well-kept bedroom, a cozy living room, and a clean, attached washroom. The adjoining balcony with wicker sofas was a perfect spot to relax after a long day. The dining hall was another highlight—spacious, scenic, complemented by exemplary service from the staff. The hotel Shift Manager, Gopal, ensured a seamless experience. Overall, a fantastic stay, blending comfort, elegance, and warm hospitality. Highly recommended!

The pictures actually don’t do justice to the property. I was pleasantly surprised to find a very well managed property with all the amenities one might need. The restaurant although nothing fancy served good food and the staff were all very courteous. Just the kind of place you want to come back to after a full day of trek or sight seeing, very tranquil and comfortable, nestled away in the hill and far from any noise.

My stay at hotel was very pleasant. Staff is very polite and courteous. Food and Service is also good. Property is bit old and hence requires some upgrade and maintenance. The location is also very good and easily approachable. Ample parking space which is luxury in hilly areas.
