Tui Blue Kalamota Island

I recently returned from Croatia after a 3 day stay in Dubrovnik then a week on Kolocep. I was very anxious having read some recent negative reviews, I now think they were totally unreasonable. We enjoyed the food and the drinks, a very good choice. Staff were super, every cleaner, bar person and TUI staff provided super service and fab activities. If you want a get away from it all week away, this is the place for you but do venture out on the walks as Ana showed us a wonderful restaurant on the other side of the island. Loved yoga with Tristan and walks with Ana, Nick was around to always make sure things were running smoothly. The only down side for me were people that just liked to complain, particularly people that had been on a cruise directly before their stay, they wanted to be waited on hand and foot and flooded the hotel somewhat initially. I would return to Croatia and the islands in a heartbeat, thank you for a beautiful and romantic holiday 💕

Having never stayed a TUI blue resort before I cannot like some of the other reviewers compare it to similar resorts. However I have stayed in a lot of all inclusive hotels across the world and found this to be one of the better ones…. - TUI reps meet you at the airport and accompany you on the bus and subsequent boat, same on the return. - Plentiful travel to Dubrovnik and other islands on the ferry. Watch the 6.50am one as it leaves at more like 6.30! - Good food and drink, always plenty of choice. Some nights better than others. The local night was the best we found. However as others have said poor salad and fruit selection, no show cooking and a few flys to contend with. We didn’t have a problem with the food not being warm enough. - one meal a week at the restaurant. Nice to be served but food no better than the buffet. - Drinks were good, not a long cocktail menu but could get other cocktails which weren’t listed such as a aperol spritz included. - There was a wine tasting which wasn’t really a wine tasting but more wine, snacks and feedback to the manager (nice man). - games room good but could do with some investment (decent darts, cues and English games). The library however is great. We enjoyed; having a beer at the local bar on the pier for a change of scenery, the peaceful pool, spending time in Dubrovnik and on lockrum island, walking to the bar at the other side of the island, walking up past villa rosa to watch the sun set and reading in our egg chairs on our terrace (ground floor rooms).

Really enjoyed our stay here, we had a really relaxing time. The cocktails were good and the staff were amazing. The actual location is a small island and is a 25 minute ferry into Dubrovnik, you can get to the city from where the ferry docks using the bus (1A, 1B or 3). We loved being so close to the beach and the most amazing thing is NO SUN BED WARS as there is plenty to go round!

Island is lovely place. Approximately 15 minutes boat ride from Dubrovnik. The resort is all inclusive so ideal if you like to drink a reasonable amount and not worry about the cost. Food was nice but a bit repetitive after approximately 5 days. Apartments spacious and clean. Staff friendly especially TUI reps.

This hotel and staff were fantastic the food excellent choice for breakfast lunch and dinner the swimming pool and beach perfect the island walks catamaran cruise great value we will return again only one thing the mozzies love a nibble

Lovly boat trip to island,not a long walk from Dock to hotel but long enough if you have mobility issues.Quick check in lovly big rooms and shower(very powerful).Breakfast was OK don't expect English sausage/bacon the usual chipolata style sausages and very fatty bacon.2 coffee machines always a big queue and in my opinion not very nice,coffee in the jug like dish water I drank my coffee from the sachets from the room.Fruit and cereals with yogurt milk yogurt ok and omlette station.Lunch was a good enough choice lots of fish and 1 day a weird looking chilli con carne made with fish.urg.Salads with out onion! and usually without tomatoes limp lettuce. Waiters kept wine/beer glass topped up.Dinner was much the same sort of affair.On our package we had a "gourmet "dinner just outside the hotel booked for 6.30.Arrived on time waiters moved our table more into shade (being 8 of us) .Informed straight away only 3 veals left,after all 8 of us negotiating with each other to who was having the veal me being 1 of the UNLUCKY one. A fish starter on the menu is uncooked beware ,not to my taste nor my friends which we left.The Veal was literally like cutting leather and was like in layers and burnt left again.Sweeet was OK as was the wine. Spirits in the hotel and bars were just awful their own brand whether it be gin vodka bacardi scotch even mixed to make a cocktail was dreadful. Some branded drinks like Johnny walker scotch was 7.95 euros!!! .For a all inclusive package this was very substandard. Fortunately we was only here 3 days Lovly hotel and staff but very poor. Would not return

Fantastic relaxing week here on this beautiful little island, hotel staff were fantastic, Tui Blue rep’s were exceptional, food was excellent with a great choice, our party has a vegan and a vegetarian, they always found a nice variety of food at the buffet. Our rooms were nice and comfortable with exceptional sea/bay views (worth extra cost).

Firstly, before I give any praise for this fantastic hotel, I would like an amazing member of your team - Anna on reception - to receive this recognition she deserves. My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights at the end of September 2023. After we checked out and whilst on our way to the airport, I realised I had left my favourite white jumper behind in our room. I rang the hotel and spoke with Anna who spoke fantastic English and she went above & beyond to help get my jumper posted back to me in the UK. She communicated with me daily about when it had been sent and when it would arrive. Thanks to her amazing customer service, I got my favourite jumper back. A huge THANK YOU to Anna for her help with this! She was so professional, friendly and is a great team member. Onto the hotel, we had an amazing time here on beautiful Kalamota island. The setting & scenary was amazing, brilliant sandy beach and friendly staff. The restaurant and bar staff could not do enough for us, and the food & drinks were of excellent quality. We were put in a room at the top floor of Villa 5, which has a lot of steps to access it. It would have been better to be in one of the villas closest to the reception/beach, but this is only a small ******.

Beautifully located with panoramic views, crystal clear seawater and lovely heated swimming pool. There are no cars on the island just buggies for bringing in provisions. Nice sandy beach just for TUI residents. Very calm sea for swimming. Buffet style food in the hotel which was very good quality but could have been a bit hotter. Good selection of staff who were very polite and hard working. There are a lot of steps and slopes to climb so not very suitable for certain people. Not a great deal to do there so you need the weather to be good.
