Biggest tip I could give would be take a padded cushion for sunbeds round the pool. The most uncomfortable sunbeds, ever. The room we were in was fine, in the Timun block, although trying not to flood the bathroom with the weird shower screen is an art I didn't grasp. The food in the restaurant is OK although the desserts in the evening dinner, looked fan y, but were bland, and there was a feeling of deja vu with it. Hotel grounds are well maintained and attractive but should have had downlighting, as the paths at night were bit tricky for some of the elderly guests. The staff were fine, on the whole apart from the towel and beach men, who were rude and incompetent. I think charging 16€ for 2 sunbeds and umbrella on their own, small pebbly beach is outrageous, and the beach man came and went when he pleased and so some paid and some managed to dodge him depending if he could be bothered turning up. The main gripe was the price of local wine....8€ for a small glass of ok wine. I would recommend the Mirabel restaurant round the end of the towpath for great food a d wine, and Belin restaurant if you want a break from canteen food. Korcula Town is lovely, try Marco Polo restaurant, tasty grills on hot coals and lovely house wine. The town is picturesque, quaint and historic. I think, if you are going to Korcula, though, a week is more than enough.
