TeleDom Hotel

I enjoyed my three night stay in this friendly hotel in the historic Old Town centre. It's location was very good, down a quiet side street but only a short walk to Hlavna and the Cathedral - left out the door, first left and then turn right and the cathedral is right in front of you. It's also just off the road leading to the airport so really convenient for bus no.23 which drops you 3-4 mins walk away. The breakfast was decent, worth including. He room was spotless and modern although the TV was tiny and I felt the room had not been aired enough, it was stuffy on arrival. Easily fixed though by my revolutionary tactic of opening the window! The bathroom was big and modern and the bed was very, very comfortable. The walls were thin, so you will hear things from next door like the shower and TV, but nothing serious. Very friendly receptionists and when I had questions before my arrival, the hotel were very prompt with texts/emails with answers. Very good value too considering how close you are on foot to the town centre. A good 3 star hotel - clean and modern, basic but comfortable.

As I write this in my room in Kosice at midnight on a Friday night I am listening to extremely loud music. Apparently a birthday party in the dining room. After an hour of discussion with reception, the restaurant manager, and the hotel manager we've been told that they do not know when the party will end. Possibly even 3 AM. And that they can do nothing to ask the party group to turn down the music. The hotel has no vacancies tonight. I'm traveling with a tour group. The tour group leader has explained to the management that his company will not bring more guests to this hotel if they can't provide a quiet place to stay. But the loss of future revenue does not seem to concern them at all. They have offered to not charge us for our breakfast. Ha! Ha! We have to leave as soon as the restaurant opens up. A lot of good that will do us.

Do not come to this hotel. The hotel is so noisy and it’s impossible to sleep. We ask the reception to stop the party on the first floor and they were so disrespectful, said there is nothing they can do. Horrible experience. Please avoid this place.

I stayed one night, in transit. I liked the hotel, ok price, big room, clean bathroom. I think that the floor in the rooms should be redone, there was a foil stuck that looks like a parquet. Be careful in the shower, the tiles are slippery when wet. Varied and tasty breakfast.
