The room is ok, the inside of the ancient city can’t be compared with the outside of the city, but it’s really convenient, the service staff are pretty good, the facilities are average, but sufficient, if you want convenience and a leisurely stroll, you must live in the ancient city, it’s a different feeling!

When we checked in, the water heater was broken and there was no hot water. The hotel is in an ancient town, and the pub next to it is very noisy at night with many young people drinking and chatting. The room style is very retro, and the service attitude is okay

Disgraceful customer service at this establishment! We had a July 2022 reservation that had to be cancelled due to contracting COVID. The hotel issued us a 495 Euro credit at that time with no expiration date. We just tried to rebook for June of 2024 and were told, on the phone, that the hotel is no longer honoring COVID credits. I explained that no expiration date was noted in the original credit and was told to follow up via email with the hotel . Sent multiple emails, all of which were ignored. They should be ashamed of themselves for handling this so poorly. There are plenty of beautiful places to stay in Kotor - do yourself a favor and don't patronize an establishment that operates so poorly.

This review is simply to refer that my wife and I had a lovely time at the Rooftop Cafe/Bar of Hotel Hippocampus. We did not stay there, but the proprietors welcomed us as the only customers on the rooftop. The service was excellent as was the cappuccino. Seating was comfy and light blankets were available at each table.

A small friendly and genuine boutique hotel located right in the middle of Kotor old town with lots of photo opportunities, shops and cafes around. What a glorious hotel this is .... in a renovated old building with first class amenities and superb restaurant on the rooftop. The suites are very spacious with good amenities (including bottled water).

Perfect location in kotor old town. Easy access to everything .... the hotel is an old building and the room also renovated but needs some improvements (tv/cables repeatedly stopped, no telephone in rooms, old bed sheets, etc). Clean rooms but the bathroom is relatively small and no privacy (the separation is done by transparent glass)... we paid around 170 eur per night. The breakfast was good but it gets boring at some point since it's the same every day. ( either international or continental breakfasts). Staff polite and helpful. The rooftop restaurant was good and food tasty too. To try.

Beautiful place! Very clean and very unique. The location is great! It’s close to everything (shopping, hiking, sightseeing, food market, beach. The club next to the hotel was too noisy every night until midnight. If you like to party you would like that.
