The property is just a minute or 2 walking distance away from the Light house beach and 4-5 minutes away from the Hawa beach. Saw some poor reviews in the past due to its location that goes through an ally, but honestly it didn't bother me, because it was budget friendly booking as well compared to the place. A few minutes walking from the Hawa beach to the resort shouldn't bother the entire experience. Stayed 3 nights without any issues. Completely worth it."

"We spent a night and two days at the Grand Turtle with family and in-laws. We wanted a relaxed stay, easy beach access, spacious rooms, and great food, and the hotel delivered on everything except beach access. The hotel drops guests at Hawa Beach, but the return trip costs Rs. 100 by auto. The hotel restaurant was excellent. We had à la carte dinners and buffet breakfasts, and everything was fresh and tasty. Special thanks to Shahin and Vijay, who not only handled our custom orders well but also gave great tips on local attractions, timing, and how to get there. Thanks to them, we made it to Lighthouse Beach, which we would have otherwise missed. Overall, if you want a medium sized resort with a relaxed vibe and excellent service, I highly recommend it. Just know the beach is not within walking distance."

"There was no proper welcome or receiving of guests. The staff did not appear hygienic or well-presented — their uniforms were stained, and even the room linens (bedsheets, towels, etc.) were visibly marked and unclean. The resort provides a golf cart service, but the timings keep changing as per their convenience. Sometimes it’s available only once at 8 AM and once at 9 AM, which is highly inconvenient, especially for elderly guests, given the hilly terrain. Food quality was another major letdown. The taste was average, portion sizes were tiny, and the prices were exorbitant — ₹400 for a piece of fish smaller than a bread loaf. The breakfast spread was also quite limited, and the restaurant service was painfully slow. Additionally, my room category was mixed up at check-in, causing unnecessary confusion. The villa washrooms have sliding doors, visible glass, and equipment meant for differently abled persons, which felt out of place. It might have been a good resort once, but it now feels neglected — lacking proper staff, maintenance, and attention to detail. Overall, I didn’t enjoy my stay here and would have definitely avoided this resort had I known these issues beforehand."

"The hotel has a great location, we took a room in the main building. Beautiful and well-kept grounds, the staff is friendly, they were always interested in our wishes. The pool is small, but the rooms with a view of the garden and the club rooms have their own pools, so there were few people, you could easily sit on the sun loungers. I didn't like the intrusive taxi drivers at the entrance to the hotel. We called an Uber, but they didn't let the driver pick us up! We had to go up a little higher (towards the Gokolam hotel) and only there we were able to get into the car. Very unpleasant, and for a hotel of this class it is not clear why they allow a taxi stand, we felt unsafe! Keep in mind that if you use an Uber, the driver will not be able to enter the hotel grounds or even the gate, you need to go higher up the road, only there you can get into the car, bypassing this mafia of taxi drivers."

"I recently booked a hotel room here with my family for 3 nights. You don't get any help in the name of service here. There was no hot water for bathing in the washroom. I requested hot water for bathing 3 times and I didn't get any help from the hotel. There is a restaurant in the hotel but the food of the hotel is not good. The hotel only gives you chicken curry with shimla mirch. When I checked in to the hotel, no one was there to take our bags. When I requested for the room to be cleaned, the cleaning staff only cleaned the bed and left without cleaning the washroom. You don't book based on the photos you see online. I hope the hotel refunds my money."
