It was my first time in Africa and I encountered heavy rain. I actually only stayed in the hotel for one day and had to move to another camp. The hotel and restaurant were good, but I was really unhappy to encounter the flood. I don't know if the hotel fee included tips. When I left, the driver kept hinting that I should tip.

This is real Safari. It feels like living in a tent, comfortable, hygienic and safe. Every meal is fine dining carefully prepared. In addition to being professional, the service staff are also very attentive. Make you feel truly at home. I have been on safari in so many places, and this is the most unforgettable one. You need to stay at least three nights to enjoy the true Kenyan wilderness Safari experience.

First of all I want to begin by telling you about our exceptional guide. As soon as we landed he was there to pick us up and greet us with his warm smile and instantly became buddies with my 6 year old son. (This guy really was the defining tone for our trip - he welcomed us in and sent us off and it wasn’t easy to say goodbye) The whole family wants to thank Paul for the most heartwarming and captivating experience you gave us during our Safari drives. We were so so lucky to be with Paul, he has about 20 years of experience as a Safari guide and is an expert at what he’s doing. We all felt super safe the whole time, yet got the thrill of adventure and got in touch with nature 100% of the time as well. To Paul: Most importantly thank you for giving my son the most magical experience that he will never forget ❤️ We are recommending you to all our friends and family, because you were the biggest influence on how beautiful this trip was And as my son told you when saying goodbye: when you visit us in Egypt, Paul, we will be your guide! As for our stay at Mara Intrepid: Duncan gave us the most warm welcome at reception, and from this moment onwards everything was perfect. our fancy camper tent was the coolest thing ever - you are one with nature but still you have all the facilities you need - best of both worlds. The sound of the Talek river when you go to sleep is the best feeling ever. The morning wake up calls with coffee in bed (hot chocolate & cookies for my 6year old) was the perfect way to start getting ready for the mystical early morning safari drive. Each and every staff member was so charming, welcoming and 24/7 super friendly. Working early or late, these people don’t know how not to be all smiles. Chef Tom was my son’s buddy, always joking around with him. Joshua the waiter was the magician that knew what every one of us liked and when, and wouldn’t wait for us to ask whether it was during breakfast or lunch. The gift shop is lovely! Special, good quality finds for all ages! We also got massages right outside our tent by the river! Excellent We went on 2 sundowners after the 2nd safari drive of the day and had the best time. We also went on a bush breakfast and it was out of this world. We were there to celebrate my father in law’s 70th birthday, and the entire staff really made an impression at his birthday dinner, coming in together singing, made him a cake and made our night truly special! I can go on forever telling you about how exceptional our stay was We are all in awe of beautiful Kenya and the Kenyan people. We intend to come back as many times as possible. It is surely the most beautiful place we’ve ever visited. 20/10 kind of experience. ❤️

My heart was touched and tears nearly trickled down my cheeks when I visited Mara Intrepids. This time as a guest and not a member of staff. The place I worked for 15 years has turned to be like heaven.Every structure in the premises is new!The sea food particularly the prawns, Vegetarian dishes and the desserts were amazing. The room location, standard and the quality of the bedding materials were superb.I personally experienced a world class tent sleeping comfort. The pool was much improved and requires a swim during the hot day, game drives were easy as you could find all the animals without driving far.Much appreciation goes to Gregory the general manager and your staff because of your friendly reception and quality service during my stay.It was wonderful,I salute you for improving your service standards much better than during our time.Total world class hospitality in the middle of the jungle.I will definitely recommend this property to any guest who visits Mara. Congratulations Mara Intrepids team! Nelson Tonkei Nairobi.

My family and I enjoyed 4 days/3 nights stay at Mara Intrepids and we all experienced a perfect blend of peace, top level comfort, tailored services and excellent organization. Our double tents - linked by a private sitting area inside and outside, overlooking the river and with absolute privacy and an assogned steward - made out stay like a dream ❤️ The dining experience was absolutely great: i enjoyed quality food, prepared by talented chefs and presented with the Highest standards, with a very caring assigned waitress The game drives with an expert guide were remarkable and always different, providing wonderful sightseeings and superb photo spots. The location itself is stunning and very well located to access all the top Mars spots easily (Mara crossing view points included).. My special thanks go to a few staff members whose professional skills and warm attitude have ensured our expectations were 100% met (and overcome too!): * Kenneth (for his lovely bar service) * Pauline (for her perfect eye on our table and her delightning table service) * Emmanuel (for his restaurant supervision and care for feedbacks) * Jennifer (for her assistance at the shop) * Marc (for his great competences about wildlife and birds) - the deep dive conference availability is really s great added value to any stay… great idea! * Meshat (for his care about our tents, and his delicious wake up calls with beverage and cookies * Silas (for his drive and guide through Maasai Mara), Great location, great team!

If you're staying at Intrepids Resort in the Masai Mara and planning any game drives, do yourself a favor—request Ezekiel as your guide. No exceptions. He was absolutely outstanding: professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly engaging. Thanks to his expertise and passion for wildlife, we saw every animal we hoped for—including leopards and cheetahs—and captured amazing photos. His driving skills were top-notch, and his warm personality kept us smiling and laughing throughout. Ezekiel is truly the reason to stay here. Beyond the game drives, our entire stay was magical. The tented rooms were spacious and cozy, with thoughtful touches like morning coffee from Reuben and hot water bottles at night. The staff, led by Gregory and Paul, delivered warm, personalized service every step of the way—from delicious meals (including daily pizza for our son!) to genuine kindness from Masila, Emmanuel, and the ever smiling chef Lawrence, who bonded with our son over their mutual love of soccer. This was one of the most memorable and heartwarming travel experiences we've ever had. Highly recommended!

After a challenging start at another lodge in the park, our agent moved us to this facility—and it truly felt like healing from a difficult relationship. Everything here runs so smoothly, from the reception to the restaurant and bar. We especially loved the thoughtful touches, like the early morning wake-up call with coffee for us and hot chocolate for the kids, and the generously packed picnic lunches for our game drives. My family and I genuinely felt seen here. Every request was handled promptly and graciously. The rooms are beautifully designed, with thoughtful details such as a whistle and torch provided for emergencies. At dinner, each family had a reserved table, adding a personal touch. I also appreciated that not all meals were served buffet-style—one highlight was the delicious sorbet included in the à la carte menu to cleanse the palate between the starter and main course. This is a place I will absolutely return to and wholeheartedly recommend to any family visiting the Mara. Its proximity to a nearby airstrip (in fact, their very own) also makes air travel from Nairobi a convenient option

Mara Intrepids Camp stands out to be the best camp in the Mara. The experience was a world class facility comfort which never disappoints when visiting the Mara. I was an employee for 15 years at the Camp but this time visiting as a guest,my personal experience from the time i entered the Main Gate to the gardens, reception,Bar,Terrace, the swimming pool, Improved modern sleeping tents, food cooked as per your dietary requirement was a surprise to me, the restaurant and the general security of the camp was amazing, everything coordinated to achieve a common goal "guest satisfaction". Members of staff are more friendly than during our time. This is total hospitality in the middle of the jungle that i can not explain in one chapter. My advice to travelers, is try book a place in this prestigious luxury camp if you want to feel the value of your money. To the general Manager Gregory Wabuge and team.Congratutions! You have worked enough to transform this place and has paid off! Nelson Adan Tonkei. Nairobi.
