Chogogo Dive & Beach Resort Bonaire

Traveled with family and girlfriend. Resort was very well kept. Wait staff at the restaurants was not good. Slow and didn't follow through. Maid service is only every 3 days. Did not refill shampoo in shower. No soap in shower. No hand towels. Outside grounds, pool area, and lazy river very clean. . Good value for ocean view room. Good location from airport and downtown. Overall would rate it at 8.2 NOT 9.4 as listed on Expedia.Beach is very rocky and not easy to enter the ocean. Definitely wear water shoes. Travel first week of June.

We went up to the bar restaurant at 8:30 p.m. and the staff refused to wait on us, we didn't know why. So we went next door and to Krioyo a restaurant and bar right next to our resort. We asked them why our resort bar wouldn't wait on us and they told us that our resort bar management did not like Americans. Also, the dives I had at their dive shop were terrible. The first I was okay but their inexperienced dive Master did not know how to put my partner's regulator onto a tank and wouldn't let me do it,waited till so someone finally did it. She also was supposed to make sure the weight was correct on my partner to dive and I always carry extra weight for him, she told me not to and then halfway through the dive, she used weight that I had brought to readjust the weight on my partner, so she didn't listen at all. The second dive was horrible , it was supposed to be a night dive and the dive Master forgot to bring a working flashlight into the water so I had to watch the other divers while he went and got a flashlight for the night time. I had the divers in a safe dive area, when he came back he took us right into a riptide along the shore which stopped the dive after 17 minutes. I asked the dive shop to return my money since we didn't actually get to dive because of their divemaster putting us into a riptide. It was a riptide along the shore and he could have taken us out further, away from the riptide and along the bottom to avoid the current.

What can I say but simply amazing. The property was breathtaking and our room was perfect. The family and I will be returning next year a must DO. The room was clean and fresh, the staff was friendly and welcoming. I would recommend this resort to anyone who will listen.

Central location, beautiful resort, nice beach with a dock to get in the water on the far right side, pool is great, lazy pool jets should be used more often to help you get through. Staff is friendly but slow. Reception is prompt. Parking is limited but there is a lot right across the street. The room could use a small sofa or lounge chair and more towels. They clean after 3 days. We enjoyed our stay.

Overall enjoyed the resort. Great snorkeling off the beach. Pool and lazy river were great. Restaurants were very good. Kitchenette very nice. Poor: bed pillows, no blanket just a sheet, our room door did not open all the way, loud construction outside our balcony.

The majority of the staff were delightful. The rooms were clean. Clothing washer and dryers were available at a cost of $8 usd per load. The snorkeling on the resort beach was just as good as the national park beaches. Most of the food at the non-reservation restaurants on site were okay, nothing I will reflect on, but the wings were pretty good. The hotel only gave two nesspresso coffee pods at the start of our 7 night stay. We had to purchase the rest. Maybe that is normal in Bonaire, I am not sure. I would give the room mattress zero stars, it is a 3 inch pad and is awful. The pool, lazy river, and beach chair/shade availability was great.

It was incredible stay at Chagogo. We will definitely go again as a matter of fact, we had such a good time we extended it another week; incredible place, staff, food, sunsets and snorkeling!

The service was great, room was clean and the staff were friendly. However, I think the should inform guest on arrival the additional amenities (e.g blanket, microwave) they have availability if needed. Parking inside the property parking lot is also limited. Overall stay was great!

Lazy river was great. Snorkeling right off the beach was amazing and being able to order drinks from a QR code at your beach chair made it perfect. Will definitely be back soon.
