The resort is nested at the end of the island and surrounded by trees and bushes. Because of the heat and the lack of AC in the room we were not able to have a good rest during the night.

One of the best ways to experience real rural Cambodian life in luxury settings. The resort has a restaurant, swimming pool, and separate villas that are traditional Cambodian rural wooden homes (but with proper bathrooms and amazing antique interior decorative items). The restaurant has excellent Western and Asian food. Breakfast was nice (no buffet though...). Getting there by ferry could be an issue, but we did take the private boat/tuk-tuk arranged by the resort, which was easy. Also, clear instructions were provided for safe car parking near the ferry pier. Early morning walk to Mekong shore - sand dunes, Bicycle ride, and horse cart ride highly recommended. (Besides Kampi Dolfins, of course) Special thanks to Bong Ly Sokheng, front office manager. He was extremely helpfull and attentive to detail. As well as all other team members - at the resort everything was excellent, communication by phone could be improved though....

Lovely place and the staff are lovely and very helpful and welcoming. My only fault with the hotel was, No kettle to make a hot drink and no refrigerator in the room to keep drinks cold.

This hotel remains the best on the island for now. It is located in a magnificent wooded park where we fell asleep with the sounds of the night and woke up by the songs of birds, it was a joy. The room is a spacious villa and tastefully decorated in the Khmer style of flea market spirit. The swimming pool is very beautiful, the restaurant delicious and the staff totally adorable. That said, the room (the plumbing) would need small renovations to keep its charm. For the moment the location is unique but it risks quickly suffering the competition of small very pretty guesthouses where we eat deliciously well and where the atmosphere is more friendly and less hushed. A beautiful address but very expensive compared to the guesthouses around (we successively tested the two types of accommodation). To summarize, it is not a luxury hotel but more of a cottage, it remains the most comfortable address.

So disappointed. Very expensive. This is not a luxury experience. Sounded good but terrible. Room though large, was dusty and dirty. Beds like rocks and brown, dirty pillows. My husband now needs a chiropractor! Mosquito nets were in holes and room was very dark even with all lights on. Ceiling fans did little to stir the air and no aircon. Stifling over night. Authentic insects with a large spider in the bathroom and cockroaches on the floor. Shower hand held over a high bath. Very inaccessible and slippery to get in. Pool was murky dirty and green when we arrived and loungers were wrapped in plastic, the next day the pool was white with chemicals and we did not risk going in. Part of the reception building roof was being replaced with noise and inconvenience. Breakfast was minimal and not up to standard. 1 crepe with tiny amount of honey, fruit -half a banana and 4 pieces of pineapple to share. Cup of tea. Dinner was tasty but expensive as were the drinks.. our guide has better aircon Accom home stay with a lovely lady next door for a fraction of the cost. Beware they will charge $5 pp for tuk tuk to ferry. Ferry is very rustic with long muddy ramp to access - you will need to carry your bags yourself. Note- (Sorya guest house in Kratie where the dolphin tours go from looked nice clean and aircon. Dolphin trip with Sorya Kayak amazing. Bikes round the island good fun. Locals lovely,

Charming resort. Great pool. The food was lovely. The room was large but had 3 problems. There was no stand up shower , no air con and it was very dark If they sorted that out it would be perfect as the bed was so comfortable. We found in the east of Cambodia the accommodation was an issue but this was the best we stayed in.

We stayed three nights at this resort, and were quite disappointed. The rooms were very dark, there were fans instead of aircondition, the beds are really hard, the wifi didn’t work in the room, and it was dirty with spider webs all over the ceiling. The mosquito net was also broken. Not what we expected at all! On the second day, the pool was filled with so many chemicals that it was impossible to see through the water and see the tiles on the bottom of the pool. The service provided was also very poor. When we went dolphin watching, we were told to message the hotel on whatsapp to let them know when to pick us up with their tuk tuk. We sent them a message when we were waiting for the ferry, and they read it immideately. However, it took them an hour to respond. We sent them three texts asking if they could pick us up, that we were on the ferry and once again when we had arrived in the port. When they finally answered, all they said was «yes tha boat going now». We told them that the boat had arrived 30 minutes ago, and that we had started walking because they never answered. They never picked us up, and it took us about one hour to walk back to the resort. We never even got an explanation or an apology. Only one of the staff members were smiling, while the rest looked careless, tired and cranky. The resort is way too pricey considering what you get for your money.
