Good afternoon! Please take note of my honest review! I booked a stay at the Hyatt Regency Kuala Lumpur at KL Midtown from February 18, 2026, to February 19, 2026. I arrived on an evening flight and immediately headed to this hotel. What struck me immediately was the complete lack of Bell Boys in the empty evening lobby. I had to unload myself from the taxi and walk with two suitcases, a bag, and a backpack. A very unfriendly employee named Aiman worked in the lobby. He greeted me very coldly, looked at my reservation, and said that I made it for February 19-20. He refused to change the details, citing that I had made the reservation through a different aggregator. I had to make a new reservation immediately on the spot. Aiman made it clear to me that it was "my problem" and suggested that I wait aside. While I was making my reservation, other guests arrived to check in. He smiled at them and tried to solve all their problems, LAUGHING at me with his Bell Boy, who appeared out of nowhere. Then I approached him again, asking him to check my reservation, since I had received a voucher stating that I had paid for everything. He confidently declared that he didn't see the reservation and wouldn't check me in, which is absolutely absurd! After repeated requests to proceed with check-in—it was already 11 PM local time—he started checking me in! Then he started demanding a deposit of 200 in local currency. But I was only checking in for the night, so I didn't need it. He constantly repeated the hotel rules, although every hotel I've checked into has been accommodating if I'm only checking in to sleep. He started demanding a deposit from me, and I had to call the manager of the Agil Hotel, who began to resolve my situation. Then came the absolutely unacceptable behavior of the employee, Ayman, when I told the manager in front of him that he was behaving very strangely towards me. He came out from behind the reception desk and approached me with a menacing expression. Is this even acceptable? He made a scene and then left, slamming the door into the staff room. Later, the manager, Agil, calmly checked me in, didn't take a deposit, and even upgraded my room, which was nice. The breakfast was interesting and full of delicious options. Thanks to the restaurant manager, Chuden, who is from Korea, who showed the utmost hospitality, starting my day with a smile. Incidentally, when I checked out, I again missed the Bell Boys. The hotel is nice, new, and the renovations are excellent. But I consider the behavior of the employee, Ayman, unacceptable. Otherwise, everything was fine.
