Better than expected! The breakfast was great, and they even offered free ochazuke and tea in the evenings. The service was excellent, and communication in English was no problem. The room isn't huge, perfect for a solo traveler. The location is fantastic, just a 2-minute walk from the Sakuramachi Bus Terminal. Shopping and dining are convenient with fast-food places like Yoshinoya and Matsuya nearby. Please note, the hot springs are for men only.

Was a great hotel close to the castle. Walking distance from a ton of shopping! English speaking with parking.

The room was old and dirty! The comforter felt unclean! I forgot a bag of fruit at the front desk and when I went back an hour later, they said they didn't have it. A terrible experience.

Perfect for solo travel. The hotel even provided a face mask, which was a thoughtful touch. Its location right next to the bus station makes it super convenient to get around. The hotel itself is very clean, the bathroom has a great wet/dry separation, and all the disposable amenities are well-stocked.

The room had severe mold, clearly visible and widespread on the bathroom walls. The staff were two-faced; they said they would refund the room fee but secretly deducted money. I asked them twice face-to-face, and they never mentioned any charges, causing me to miss the negotiation window.

Although the accommodation is a bit old, the staff were very friendly and the breakfast was delicious! It was great value for money and close to the bus terminal. I would love to stay here again on my next trip to Kumamoto!
