Hotel Route-Inn Kumamoto Ekimae Reviews

The hotel is really close to Kumamoto Station, only about a 5-minute walk. Breakfast is included, and the menu changes daily, which is a nice touch. The public bath isn't huge, but overall, it offers great value for money.

Less than 5mins from the Kumamoto station (but note that the station is not close to the city centre). Room is clean, breakfast is free and good taste, the public bath is not large but still very relaxing.

No convenience store near hotel. JR station is really closed, but convenience store is 23:00 close. Toilet is not perfectly clean, cause some Stains are sticked… I will not stay again here.

Car parking is not free,need to pay 500yen.3minutes walk to train station,near convenient stores and restaurants

The tea cup in the room was not clean, i wish the hotel payed more attention to that. The hotel itself is very close to the station and the breakfasts are good, I've been there twice and each time the food was a little different. The staff at reception desk is very helpful

This hotel located near the river, good for a nice morning walk, a gift was provided for the little one, sweet service!

I stayed at this hotel twice. The second time (this booking) we had a room on the older (?) wing and it was almost twice the size of the first one. So for this review I will only share feedback on this “older” room. This room was big and thus good for us as we had 2 large luggage and more space in the room allowed us to open and pack our luggages with ease. The bathroom was large with the large traditional bathtub. Toilet had bidet and etc but lacked heating which made it very cold in the winter. Basin tap was still the old turn types which was not eco friendly as it’s more difficult to shut it off. Location was just opposite the train station which was excellent. But the nearest convenience store is also only at the train station which is about a 5-7mins walk away. Breakfast was curated to suit the Japanese palette more and ends at 9a.m which is really way too early!! We left something behind in the hotel but they managed to send the item back to us at our new hotel (still in Japan) which was highly appreciated. Despite a few minor shortcomings listed above, the pros still outweigh the cons and I’ll definitely be happy to stay here again.

Clean and good breakfast. Not to far to JR Kumamoto station.

The overall stay was good with the only complaint being the third bed which was a sofa bed and not comfortable..

The hotel is near Kumamoto Station 3 minutes on foot. The room is clean and comfortable. The public bath is good.
