Coconut Lagoon Kumarakom- a CGH Earth Experience

A serene retreat with the kumarakom Lake area. The resort has very attentive staff and there's quite a bit to do and explore within the resort. The bungalows are really authentic to the traditional Keralite style. They come with an open to sky bathroom that makes the showering experience amazingly refreshing! Definitely would recommend!!

What an amazing stay I had at Coconut Lagoon! The property is so beautiful and peaceful. Our villa was wonderful with its outdoor bathroom and amazing bed. There is so much you can do and see on the property and off property or you can simply relax by the pool with a good book. The highlight of my trip though were the staff! Every person there went above and beyond! Thomas Tony worked in both restaurants and treated us like queens (or “the mamas” as he affectionately called my friend Susan and me). Two of the bartenders, Abdul and Roshi, made the best drinks and kept our bottle of wine iced and at the ready. Pratheesh who is a naturalist took us on the most amazing e bike tour through the village and through the countryside where we met a couple of local families and learned about the toddy making process and had a taste as well. He pointed out various species of birds ***** the way and told us so much about the area. Our few hours with him was one of the highlights of our 2 1/2 weeks in India. Above all these individuals and everyone there, too many to name, were so kind. I already miss them and their constant smiles and the lovely haven on the backwaters. I truly hope to go back!

The highlight of my stay at CGH Earth Coconut Lagoon was undoubtedly the morning yoga and evening meditation sessions led by the remarkable Naveen ji. Naveen ji is a deeply knowledgeable and widely read spiritual guide who radiates a calm, grounded presence. His sessions blend philosophical insights, guided meditation, and thoughtful instruction in posture and technique, creating an experience that nourishes both body and mind. Whether you're a seasoned practitioner or simply curious about yoga and meditation, time with Naveen ji offers a deepened understanding and a renewed sense of inner peace. Set within the lush, serene gardens of Coconut Lagoon, these sessions become more than just a routine—they’re truly transformative moments that stay with you. Om shanti.

We had a wonderful and a very pleasant stay at CGH Kumarakom. Would highly recommend everyone to visit this place for their own experience, Each and everyone was so courteous and pleasant and enjoyed every bit of it. The housekeeping staff, people at restaurant and bar were all extremely kind to name a few Dinesh, Surya, Sreekumar, Roshan were all very good and were taking exceptional care of the guests....it was a most memorable trip of ours and we would definitely want to visit here again as it's a great place for relaxation and rejuvenation.. Not to miss the food and its quality as every dish was prepared with utmost care and love which tasted soooo delicious. Also the wide variety served was amazing. Thanks once again for making our visit a memorable one

Vishnu took us on a village tour on e bikes and this was a real highlight of our holiday. We were taken to the local Hindu temple, a local tea shop and a tour of the local area including the paddy fields and canals. We met many friendly locals and had some lovely chats. We saw the Toddy *** in action and sampled the morning toddy collection. Highly recommended; important to get out of the resort compound and see life outside. Our special thanks to Vishnu and Anjana the naturalists. We loved the birdwatching, eco and butterfly tours very much. Anjana hosted us for 2 sunset cruises; absolutely beautiful. Thanks also to Anjitha who welcomed us in as well as waving us off; she is a wonderful and attentive host. Thank you to Sengs and her cleaning team for keeping our villa so clean.

E bike tour,early morning e-bike tour ***** the banks of the backwaters with naturalist Vishnu. The e - bikes are more like small motor bikes you don’t even need to pedal! Vishnu took us for early morning tea at the local tea shop,we stopped to taste toddy fresh from the coconut tree and spotted birds as we traveled ***** the peaceful canals as the local villagers started their morning.Vishnu was an engaging guide pointing out birds and things of interest as we cycled along.A lovey way to welcome in the day
