Orange Hotel (Kunming Nanping Pedestrian Street)

This hotel offers great value for money. The staff are warm and attentive, and the rooms are clean and tidy with smart appliances. The robot delivery service for takeout is very convenient. I especially loved the orange-scented toiletries.

The first night, the room I stayed in had a constant buzzing sound, possibly electrical, after the lights were turned off, making it impossible to sleep. I was temporarily moved to a twin room that had been converted from a family room. It was very spacious with good facilities, but then I encountered issues with dirty hand towels and a window that wouldn't close properly, all of which were promptly resolved. The location is a bit of a walk from Kunming Old Street, but taxis are cheap. They even gave me a souvenir when I left, which was a nice touch.

The front desk service was quite good, the room was very quiet, and the breakfast spread was rich. I'll definitely choose Orange Hotel again for my next trip! 🍊

I'm so glad I chose to stay at the ORANGE Hotel for my last two nights in Kunming! As soon as I entered, the staff greeted me warmly, and check-in was very smooth. They were all very friendly and helpful. Although I didn't get their names, there were three women working the evening shift during our stay, and every time we had a problem, they patiently helped us resolve it. I'm truly grateful to them! The hotel's location is also excellent, with a shopping mall nearby and plenty of dining options on the street, which was very convenient. The overall design of the hotel is beautiful and truly 'orange-themed' – even the hand soap, shampoo, body wash, and conditioner all have an orange theme, a detail we really loved! There's also a self-service area in the lobby where you can enjoy unlimited coffee, tea, juice, and some snacks, which was a huge bonus. The breakfast selection is also very rich, offering both Western and Chinese options with a wide variety to satisfy different tastes. The room was great! It even had books to read, and the bathroom had a separate shower and toilet. The toilet was smart, with automatic flushing and a heated seat. There was also a cabinet to store luggage, and the desk had tea bags, candy, and cookies. Plus, the room was very clean, and the blackout curtains worked perfectly. Taxis were also easy to find nearby. On the first floor, there's a gym and a coffee machine.

This is by far the best hotel I've stayed at in Kunming!! So many positives. The staff's service was excellent; we bothered the front desk multiple times, and they always helped us solve our issues, even upgrading us to a larger family room for free. The hotel is very new and located in a separate building, making taxi access super convenient. The soundproofing is great; even though we were by the road, the noise wasn't bad, and closing the window made it much quieter. There's a separate luggage room, which was really convenient for storing our bags independently. The bedding, mattress, and pillows were very comfortable and clean, and it was a huge plus that they could help us wash and dry our clothes! Breakfast was also abundant, and my friend said the rice noodles were delicious. This will definitely be our top choice next time we're in Kunming!!

I didn't take any pictures of the room, but for its price range, the hotel's overall experience and cleanliness were quite good. There are plenty of dining options nearby, and it's very close to the Old Street. I stayed in Kunming for two days and mainly visited the Flower Market, Laoyu River, and Haigeng Dam. Other places can be visited optionally. The restaurants recommended by the hotel staff had excellent food. Goodbye Kunming!
