Kunming Huagu Hotel (Changshui International Airport Platinum Port Modern Plaza Store)

First off, if you're looking for a good night's rest before a flight and want to wake up refreshed, I highly recommend avoiding this hotel. It'll only make you feel worse. First, take a look at the first two photos. In a supposedly brand-new, clean room, why are some drawers in that condition? It makes me question if they're actually cleaning thoroughly. Second, the soundproofing is terrible. Even with the windows closed, I could still hear noise from the plaza downstairs at 1:00 AM. Third, at 2:30 AM, the drain suddenly started making strange gurgling noises for over half an hour. I have no idea why.

Environment: The environment is good, but it's a bit too close to the airport, so it can be a little noisy at night. Cleanliness: Very clean; it seems like they change everything out for each new guest. Service: The service attitude is good, and the front desk staff are always ready to answer any questions. The hotel's shuttle service is excellent, very punctual, and it only takes about 15 minutes to get from the hotel to the airport, so you generally won't miss your flight.

Excellent stay! The hotel has a great location, with good soundproofing and close proximity to the airport. They even offer complimentary airport drop-off, and the driver was very helpful. The environment is clean and tidy.

This was our last night in Kunming before heading home after the 2026 Chinese New Year holiday, and the hotel exceeded our expectations. The room was incredibly spacious and clean, and the bed was huge and comfortable. It also had amenities like a fridge, a large TV, and smart voice control, which felt a step above typical hotels in the city. The suite with two separate bedrooms was perfect for multiple families staying together, ensuring a quiet night's sleep. It's especially ideal for a relaxing stopover before catching a flight. Changshui Airport Shuttle Service: The suite included complimentary airport transfer services provided by the hotel. They offer drop-offs as early as 4:30 AM, and it only takes about 15 minutes to reach the airport under normal conditions, which is very convenient. The driver was excellent, even helping us load our luggage into the car. Highly recommend! Service: The hotel reception and other services were also very attentive. The hotel was great, clean and hygienic, and the room was spacious enough. The shuttle service to and from the airport was very convenient. We even received some delicious rose shortbread upon check-in. The service was excellent, very satisfied!
