Sofitel Kunming

Although it opened back in 2016, this hotel's facilities are still excellent. The breakfast is a real highlight, offering many local Kunming specialties. On a clear day, you can even catch a glimpse of Dianchi Lake. As an older five-star hotel, the service is, as expected, top-notch. During my stay, I especially want to thank the duty manager, Lemon, who helped resolve many of my issues. He was incredibly enthusiastic and helpful.

Highly recommend! Even though the hotel has been open for ten years, it's incredibly well-maintained with well-kept facilities and a strong French ambiance. Before I arrived, Heidi proactively and thoughtfully contacted me to arrange a high-floor room. When I checked in, she even helped me get a taxi discount voucher for the hotel. The views were expansive, and the soundproofing on the high floor was excellent. Plus, the room windows could be opened for ventilation. Both the room and bathroom were quite spacious, and the bathroom even had a double vanity. It was quiet and comfortable, making for a truly excellent stay. The hotel is located in the city center, making transportation convenient and perfect for shopping and getting around. The handsome gentlemen at the entrance not only helped with luggage but also opened the car door every time I came and went. The overall service throughout my stay was meticulous and attentive, with staff who were kind and thoughtful, paying attention to every detail. If I ordered takeout, a robot would deliver it to my room. The front desk also helped receive a delivery. My overall experience exceeded expectations; it's suitable for both business trips and leisure travel. A special thanks to the lovely Heidi – my child left a piece of clothing in the hotel, and she immediately contacted me and arranged for it to be sent to us via SF Express.

Big shoutout to Xue from the hotel reservations team for all the help he gave us! The location is superb, the views are stunning, the facilities are complete and clean, and the butler service is attentive. A perfect experience!

The night view from high up was amazing, and the room was clean and tidy. The transportation was convenient. SURI's service was thoughtful and attentive, and the welcome fruit platter was very fresh. The breakfast selection was rich, and there was an exclusive complimentary dessert, which I unfortunately forgot to take with me because I was in a rush. Overall, I had a great stay with good food, making it the perfect choice for exploring Kunming city.

This hotel experience exceeded my expectations! The service was warm and attentive, and the room was clean and tidy. The 270-degree corner floor-to-ceiling windows offered an incredible view, overlooking the entire city of Kunming – my child absolutely loved it. The breakfast had a rich variety and tasted great. Overall, I'm very satisfied and will definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Kunming! Highly recommend! 👍

The high-altitude view was absolutely stunning, offering expansive vistas perfect for capturing beautiful photos effortlessly. Breakfast offered a rich and fresh variety of dishes with plenty of choices to satisfy diverse tastes. The hotel's location is incredibly convenient, right next to a main road, making taxis and public transport easily accessible. Overall, the comfort level was exceptional; with attentive service and a prime environment, it's perfect for both leisure travel and short stays. It offers great value for money and is definitely worth returning to.

Service: Attentive and patient. Exclusive perk - choose one of three: The drinks are served at the lobby bar. It has long operating hours. I chose the coconut juice, which was delicious – it's the Coconut Palm brand.

This hotel boasts a convenient location and a wonderful environment, with staff who are warm and friendly. I was even given a free room upgrade upon check-in, which I was very pleased with. I'll definitely be back!

Whenever I visit Kunming, the Sofitel is my first choice. The location is superb; it's a short walk to Yunfang, making it incredibly convenient for getting around. The hotel's rooftop Sky Bar offers amazing night views and a fantastic atmosphere. The breakfast restaurant provides panoramic views from above, so you can enjoy your meal and the scenery simultaneously, with a rich selection of both Chinese and Western dishes. A special shout-out to Amy at the front desk – her service was meticulous and thoughtful, and she was so kind and gentle. The entire stay was comfortable and pleasant. The value for money and amenities are impeccable. I'll definitely be staying here again on my next visit.
