Atour X Hotel Kunming Old Street Wuyi Road

This hotel is super convenient, located right in a bustling part of Kunming. It's a short walk to the old street and Shuncheng. They even gave me some thoughtful brown sugar for making drinks when I checked out. What really stood out, though, was their late check-out policy – it was incredibly accommodating. I had a late flight, and hauling my luggage around or trying to find a place to relax would have been a real hassle. I asked the front desk about extending my check-out, and they let me stay for a long time, which was just fantastic! A great choice, really!

This Atour X Hotel is located in the city center, right across from Shuncheng and Wangfujing Department Store. It's a lively area, so it's a bit noisy. Check-in was handled by an AI robot at the front desk, which was quite advanced! I asked it two questions, and it gave the exact same answer both times – annoying! Upon entering the room, there was a strong sewage smell from the bathroom. I reported it to the front desk robot, and it immediately brought a bottle of fragrant spray to 'purify' the air – again, annoying! I wasn't satisfied, so the robot called over the supervisor. The supervisor was excellent and offered to change our room. Human service is definitely better. Why did I choose Atour X? Because they offer laundry service, which is very thoughtful. Every time I stay at an X hotel, it's usually very comfortable, but this particular one seemed understaffed and provided almost no service, so the experience was just okay. On a positive note, late-night congee was available, and breakfast was still great. My rating might be a bit high, but I still hope this Atour X continues to improve and make an effort.

I was very satisfied with the room; there were plenty of outlets, so charging my electronics was a breeze. Tissues were conveniently placed within arm's reach from the bed, and the vanity had both tissues and a trash can, making everything super convenient. The service attitude was excellent too; when I mentioned the conditioner was out, they immediately took care of it. They also helped collect and deliver laundry. The breakfast being available until 10:30 AM was the best part for me!

My experience at Atour Hotel was excellent. The cleanliness was top-notch, and the room was spotless. The check-in process was quick, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. The hotel staff, especially the ladies, were very warm and attentive. Any issues were promptly addressed. The shower facilities were excellent with good water temperature. The soundproofing was great, making for a quiet and comfortable stay. There were no strange odors in the room. The surrounding area is very convenient, with many shops and local eateries. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I highly recommend it to everyone.

The hotel's location is excellent, with plenty of activity nearby, and the service is also good. I even got a free room upgrade. Kunming's weather is truly delightful; even though it rained, it stopped quickly. It's the perfect place to escape the summer heat. Overall, it was a great experience.

This was the only time it rained during our Yunnan vacation (and thankfully, it was towards the end of the trip). As a well-established chain, Atour certainly didn't disappoint with its service. Amenities like umbrellas were readily available and very convenient. Since it was just an overnight stay on our way back, I can't speak to the long-term comfort, but everything you'd expect was there, and the breakfast selection was good too. It's right next to a shopping center and north of Cuihu Park's old street, making it a perfect base for exploring the area.
