Batihan Beach Resort & Spa

The shower door exploded and after getting several cuts on my hands and feet. The reception did not react until the 3rd attempt. No one really made and effort, needed to have an argument to change rooms. No medical aid kit to cover wounds. Pictures are added to make it all clear. At checkout reception said that this is own liability. This all took place on the morning of the wedding that we were attending.

Amazing hotel ,we had such a fab time.location is perfect,restaurant by the beach is fab. Staff were super friendly,entertaining was so much fun. plenty food options to suits for everyone drinks option were a bit basic but we survived.we will be back again for sure

Our choice this year was the Batihan Beach Resort & Spa, from 16.8 - 31.8.2023. but this year we were in the hotel with a two-month-old baby. As always all was fantastic. Very clean hotel, and very, very busy Gönül. Very tasty and varied food and drinks for everyone's taste. We especially mention the excellent organization and very friendly staff in the restaurant, especially Mr Ceyhan and Mr Kutlu, and a very friendly Pelin barista at the pool bar. Very clean and tidy beach thanks to Mr Murat and Mr Onur. We would also like to mention the very friendly staff at the reception, especially a great lady, Mrs Pelin. If you want a very clean hotel, where the food is excellent, with a beautiful beach, near the shopping mall, where the conditions are perfect for a two-month-old baby, your choice should definitely be the Batihan Beach Resort & Spa. Firstly I am the type of person that reads a bad review and thinks "they are exaggerating". But I can safely say that the previous bad reviews are true. We arrived and I was given a room that was so tiny with just a window no balcony which I had payed for. When I complained it was almost like they were expecting me down as they knew that they put me in a shoddy room. But they moved me the next day but they made me feel like I was being a nuisance. Made out like they were doing me a favour... many of the staff I encountered are not very helpful. The new room was not much better apart from the fact that it had a balcony. The rooms are very shabby definitely not chic. The furniture looks so old and tatty. I like a firm bed but the bed was so hard that it hurt my back and hip. There were so many issues I gave up in the end As you are made to feel like a pain. There wasn't even a spy glass in the spy hole of my room. Also upon check in staff not very helpful with info on hotel such as towel cards etc. We had to find out info from other guests. The whole of the hotel needs up dating it looks very dated/old fashioned. No air con in the lobby, broken glass Payne's in the lobby seating area. Looks like it needs a good paint and refresh. The food was not much better either. Basic things such as bread and cucumber were not even fresh. The bread was always stale and cucumber dried out. I ate dinner in the hotel twice but didn't eat much at all as it was never warm or replenished. However the gozleme lady was good down at the sunset bar from 1pm. Thank god for her. I know I sound very picky but this honestly isn't me, if I was expecting a 2* I would have been fine with it. But the fact that we payed for a 4* hotel and my party plus alot of other guests that were there at this time feel the same it should speak volumes. Maybe they should either invest in updating the hotel/facilities etc or lower the star rating. Such a shame as we were looking forward to this holiday as it was my honeymoon plus a family holiday. If you go with lower expectations you will probably be happy but take what your travel agents show and say with a pinch of salt as nothing is as it seems.

Went to Batihan for family holiday in August 23 which we booked last minute. 2 families, 4 adults, and 5 children. We originally had 3 triple rooms booked, but on arrival the hotel let us change to a 4 and 5 person family room at no extra cost. Our rooms looked out to the pool area which was nice. Rooms were clean and spacious, but a bit dated. A/C worked well and the room had a fridge. Resort was good, pools for all ages plus kids clubs and play areas for younger children. The water slides only open at specific times, which is a shame. The sun lounger system was terrible.. unless you woke up at 6am and put down a towel, you would be away from the pool. No policing either. Some people left towels on their loungers for hours without using. Food was good. Standard buffet system, but there was always a few things being freshly cooked for each meal. Other options, including desserts, rotated over the days. Pool snack bar was good but the fresh Turkish pizza would only be made at specific times even when the tray was empty. Staff were OK but I've been to other Turkish resorts where the staff went out of their way to help or get to know you. Animation team and events were good but if you look Turkish they tend to walk right past you! House keeping kept forgetting we changed the room to 4 people and only left us 3 towels each day, even though the room had 4 beds... had to request a extra towel each day. These are only minor things and did not spoil our experience.. pool days were great fun and the beach is on the door step, although it's not that big. Small area of sand which is taken up by sun loungers. 15 minutes taxi to Old Town or there is a local bus stop right outside the resort. Hotel has its own spa but we did not use. Hotel also has a a la carte restaurant on site on the beach, which you can book once during 7 days stay.

We arrived at the hotel to find that the 2 swim up rooms that we had booked over a year ago were not available, with no apology or explanation??? We could have them after a few days of being in different rooms. The sun beds were only available if you set your alarm for about 6am so you can put towels on them. One day we sat on the wall by the pool waiting for a bed to be free and there was 4 beds with towels on that hadn't been sat on for about 3 hours no one went near them. We removed the towels and after about 45 minutes the owner of the towels came back and was very threatening towards us.So we moved. The food was the same every day and the ala carte restaurant was nice but you had no choice of starter or dessert apart from take it or leave it!!. The swimming pool was very busy and the flooring was slippery, some of the wooden planks were loose also which made it dangerous. The rooms were basic and in need of decoration and maintainence, we had 2 dead mosquitoes on our wall!!. Overall the weather was brilliant No ATM machine in the hotel. Definitely not a 4 star hotel sorry.

If you are looking for a place with the family this is the place to be. There is so much to do for kids the entertainment team makes sure they wont feel left out and give them all the attention needed. Good vibes and a great resort. Great team and great dj.
