This is a lovely hotel just on the outskirts of downtown Kampala. Located within a gated area, this spacious hotel has all the modern amenities like a gym and spar and a hair and nail salon. The rooms are large and spacious and so are their beds. The rooms are equipped with a small kitchenette should you wish to cater for yourself. There is a two-plate stove, microwave, cutlery and crockery and a large fridge. My most memorable stay was punctuated by my interaction with Brian at the bar by the pool. Be sure to visit him. He offers great hospitality. I also enjoyed my interaction with Hellen who serviced my room and Cedric in the restaurant who served me with a smile. The general manager is also such a pleasant man.

This hotel is not what it presents, Pictures are nice, but the hospitality is horrible. I've reach out to management over twenty times regarding a financial issue I have. They are rude and are not accommodating; I guess because we live in the US, they don't have to worry about responding and resolving a financial compliant. They have not resolved my problem and now my email and phone number has been blocked by the Hotel Manager and the Finance Manager. Booked April 6, 2023, stayed June 17th - 23rd of 2023.

Was here to attend for the suppliers conference organised by NSSF. Hall Name: 📍 Lake Bunyonyi Amenities: Accessible (ramp, steps, elevator), Carpeted floor, AC, Gypsum Ceiling, Well lit, Wall Speakers, Projector, Furniture- comfortable, sustainability ♻️ Refillable water bottle available. Internet Connection: Superb Parking: Lots of outdoor parking spaces I was unable to inspect the rooms due to limited time on me I will visit the accommodation and hotel's services and share them in my next post Check my images

I am still in this place that is truly amazing. The Staff is extremely polite and professional and I appreciate their kindness and effectiveness. I thank you all the people that work for the Mestil Hotel and this will be my home in Kampala also for the next staying in Uganda 🇺🇬.

I love conferences at Mestil! The location is just a little outside the main CBD, close enough for easy reach yet far enough to discourage you from a quick rush back to a CBD office. Mestil is also on my route home for a fast get away after the conference. The hotel and its conference centre is quite well built and well laid out. The conference rooms are generally well lit and well ventilated. I also love the architecture and that this is not a high rise city hotel. There is secure parking and more. The security does not require you to get out of the car unlike some other places. On the downside, the gents toilet just stunk like something died in there and was long behind schedule for burial. I even reported it to the Concierge when on my second bathroom break, the stink was still there. There was poor service at the tea-break and it was painful to see senior citizens lining up to be served a beverage by their overwhelmed granddaughter. The lunch was just marginally better in organisation. The lunch food was a fair spread. But we need to learn to cut back on so many multiple starches and meats and salads. We are not here for the food and we still have work to do after eating. I could have used some good chilli condiments.

The most exquisite place in Kampala. I always enjoy my stay at Mestil, and I would not stay anywhere else while in Kampala. From the rooms, the pool, the Gym the restaurant, the lounge area everything is excellent and above standard. The customer service by all staff is exemplary. I mostly commend Tony(Housekeeping guy on 2nd floor rooms) always ready to assist. I commend Alex(Waiter) always ready to assist with a cheerful smile. I commend Ann(at the main reception) always serving people cheerfully. I commend Azizi and Precious at the Gym, those guys will leave you sweating profusely from their intense aerobic exercises. I will miss those exercises.

Not for me. Won’t return. Reception staff pretty dismal. Called as the AC wasn’t working properly in my room and asked for a fan. “No, we don’t do that’”. Also asked at one point for an HDMI cable to plug my laptop into TV. “No, we don’t do that. We used to provide them but they were stolen so now we don’t give them.” Nice guy from engineering who came to fix AC happily went and got me a fan and looked for an HDMI. Room perfectly pleasant otherwise and clean.

for the three months i was there as an intern i really enjoyed working in the kitchen where i got to learn several skills thanks to chef douglus chef stella chef shamina chef kharim chef ben chef anorld chef immy and chef xolani who helped me become the chef i am today. mestil hotel and residents is a good place to be their buffets are great their services are on point in general they offer good services and i would like to recomend someone to come and work what i would say is that they are very welcoming and they offer good customer service. as a kenyan coming to uganda mestil hotel and residents is one of my favourite hotel to be and

If you have a business trip that requires a long stay in Kampala, this is the place to be. Excellent apartment-style rooms, great restaurant, good gym and great service. I stayed here from August to December. 2023 and I would stay there again. It was like being home. The personnel in all areas provided excellent and friendly service. I will mention a few and I apologize for not being able to name them all. Rema and Monica the restaurant hostesses, Prisca and Diana the waitresses, Precious at the gym, Sharon and Ellen the maids and Jessca their supervisor, Sharon the cashier, Catherine from security and all the personnel made my stay as good as it can be. Thank you all for a great business stay. I shall return!
