We stayed for three nights and really loved the location as we could get everywhere very easily. Be mindful that the room is extremely small though

This hotel is located a block or within 3 minutes walking distance from Kyoto Station. We purchased the JR Kansai West and was able to use it since the hotel's excellent location. We fell in love with Kyoto and everyday spent there was worth it. We didn't get the breakfast package but since the hotel is very near the main train station there are so many places to have your meals. Also there is a 7/11 across the street. The hotel also has its own coffee shop and restaurant. We had a King size bed. And although the room is small (expect that in Japan) it had everything we wanted. The staff was very helpful. All you need: shampoo, shaver, tooth brush, hair comb, cotton buds, wash cloth is all provided. We definitely recommend this hotel and if we do come back we will return here.

The hotel is very conveniently located very close to Kyoto’s main railway station. Staff were friendly, efficient and welcoming with good English spoken throughout. Like most Japanese hotels both the room and the hotel generally, were spotlessly clean. The room was a good size for single occupancy. The adjoining restaurant to the hotel provided an excellent, varied buffet breakfast. Other facilities provide within the hotel included vending machines, laundromat and a spa bath area.

I stayed here for the Lake Biwa Fireworks Festival. I couldn't find a reservation that fit my budget near Otsu, so I booked a hotel in Kyoto. Since I am a registered member, the check-in procedure was easy. The accommodation tax was already included. The front desk staff are friendly and polite. There is no welcome drink. The room had a king-size bed about 180 cm wide. There is also a round table outside the built-in table, which is convenient. The two chairs have casters so it doesn't take much effort to move them. Electric kettles and alarm clocks are available. There is no luggage rack, air purifier, or safe. There is a step of over 20 cm at the entrance to the bathroom, so I was careful when entering and exiting. The large public bath "Genyo no Yu" is on the second floor. A safety box, weighing scale, and hair styling products are available. There is an indoor bath and an outdoor bath, and the outdoor bath has a small bathtub and a ceramic bath (tsubo tub). It's close to Kyoto Station, and you can leave your luggage before checking in, so you can go sightseeing right away. I came to see the Gozan no Okuribi bonfires, so I chose this hotel because I wanted to keep my accommodation costs as low as possible and relax in the large public bath. It was late at night, but the king-size bed room was already checked in, so I only had to get the key. There are many restaurants and shopping options around the station and in the department store basement, so it's convenient. The large public bath is available until 2am and from 6am, and you can check the congestion status on the display in your room, so you can use it when it's not busy. Maybe because it's located inside Karasuma-dori, the noise isn't too much of a problem. On the way back, I picked up my luggage and went straight to the station.
