Very rare experience to stay in a designer decorative room. Walking distance to the busy city centre too. Only down side is the size, not suitable if you have big luggages.

Very wonderful staff. Our original room was double booked so they accommodated us very well by giving us their suite on the second night of our stay. The experience of each room was quite magical. I thoroughly enjoyed this hotel and would stay here again.

The hotel is very unique , it has exhibits in each room which is very unique but eats up a lot of space in the room. So the room feels cramped . There’s no space to walk and open bags not unless it’s a big room.

Very good stay with perfect location. A walk behind the hotel is the bars and restaurants district of Kyoto - you can find a lot of speakeasies and enjoy nights of drinking cocktails and music. It is also just a 5-10 minutes walk to the station which connects to the various attractions in Kyoto - like Fushimi Inari Shrine, and Arashiyama Bamboo Forest. We went during New Year’s Day - and although some shops are closed but bars are open and the hotel reception has a list of restaurants which are open as well and is helpful in letting us know. The room ( we picked one of the artist’s room) and it is wonderful. It is big and spacious by Japanese standard with very large bathroom , separate bathtub and toilet and large space. The facade of the room is also a clean, minimalist look with the detailed white and black cups down. We really enjoyed the room and the space. Breakfast is complimentary and there is a good selection of toasts. One of us is vegetarian - and they do have a selection of vegetarian toast ( not much) but they accommodated with vegetarian soup if you ask !

We really loved the hotel! We stayed from August 31st to September 7th, 2025. The rooms are spacious. We had a room with TVs, but I could see other rooms from the hallway. 😁 If you choose a random room, don't worry, they're all nice. The website doesn't have all the photos, but some are really interesting. The hotel is trendy and youthful. They provided an iron and extra toiletries—washcloths, lotions, razors, brushes, a comb, etc. The spacious bathroom is a real heart-warmer, the toilet is good, they cleaned it every other day, and there was delicious tea in the room. The air conditioning worked well, and they included breakfast, which was easy to order in advance via Google. It was delicious, especially the avocado toast. Breakfast also comes with a complimentary choice of drinks. The coffee was fantastic, very tasty from a professional espresso machine. Gorgeous views of the city 🤩 Lots of nice little touches at the hotel, all sorts of perks for guests. And a wonderful location. The staff is polite and helpful, they respond quickly to everything, and they recommended a place with delicious fries. DJ sets are sometimes held. Overall, 10/10, I recommend this hotel. Thank you.

The location is excellent, about a 5-minute walk from the Shijo Kawaramachi intersection. There's a 7-Eleven right at the corner downstairs, and a FamilyMart within two minutes. The room is quite large; even with two suitcases fully open, it doesn't cause any problems. As an art gallery-style hotel, you should definitely choose a room with a style you like, otherwise it might affect your sleep. There are four rooms per floor; I highly recommend X04, which has a window facing the Kamo River. There are local DJs on the first floor from time to time, so you can have some fun. Check-out at 11 am is fantastic.
