Kyoto Gion Hotel

This hotel in Gion was affordable and very comfortable. It's close to the bar district, making for a fun time. With Hana no Komichi nearby, it's a wonderful hotel for enjoying the Kyoto atmosphere.

Good: Thoughtful service, a small but excellent choice. Pros: The front desk staff were professional and friendly, the environment was clean and tidy, there was a bidet, and luggage storage and umbrella rental were provided. Location: Very convenient, with good amenities nearby. Summary: Although the room size is relatively small and there's no view outside the window, all necessary amenities are present, making for a very comfortable stay. For independent travelers with light luggage, it's a very high-value-for-money option.

Extremely convenient location, clean rooms, and great service.

Great location, but the room was tiny. There was no desk, no chairs, not even a single chair, so nowhere to sit. The room was so small I couldn't even open my suitcase, which was quite inconvenient.

The hotel is in Gion, close to the train station, which is very convenient for getting around. However, the cleanliness wasn't great.

Highly recommend! I would definitely stay here again on my next visit to Kyoto. The location is unbeatable, right by Gion Shijo, making it extremely convenient for attractions (such as Yasaka Shrine) and dining. The room size was a bit tight; it was barely enough room to fully open a 24-inch suitcase. While daily cleaning is provided, it primarily consists of emptying trash bins. Bed linens are changed on the third day. The personal amenities provided were incredibly comprehensive: a body scrubbing towel, toothbrush, bath powder, cotton pads, mini samples of facial cleanser, makeup remover, toner, lotion, and serum, plus a comb and razor.
