Built for King Alfonso XIII when he visited in 1922, the building has been respectfully renovated and has preserved many of its original features, into a comfortable, contemporary hotel.

We loved this hotel. Modern hotel perched on a hill gazing out over the Sierra de Francia with incredible views surrounded by gardens. Really comfortable and idyllic. Our room was light and spacious, with a very comfortable bed. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful particularly the receptionist helping us plan our visit and the waitress. The restaurant serves a very nice menu reasonable priced. We would happily return soon. The hotel is well situated to visit the Batuecas, Sierra de Francia and Los Hurdes.

Entorno idílico. Destaco del hotel el personal atento y muy amable. La experiencia fue maravillosa. La cena de San Juan fue excepcional, aunque hacerlo en el jardín como otros años sería aún mejor.

Muy recomendable, el enclave del hotel en un sitio tranquilo ideal para desconectar y visitar la zona. El personal del hotel en general muy amable y cercano. Las habitaciones grandes y cómodas. Teníamos media pensión. El desayuno abundante y variado y las cenas elaboradas, nos dieron la posibilidad de poder cambiar cena por comida si algún día lo necesitábamos. Sin duda si volvemos a la zona será a este hotel.

Tanto el hotel (habitaciones, zonas comunes, etc.) como su entorno natural son excelentes. La comida es de muy buena calidad y precio más que razonable. Además, el clima del lugar (Las Hurdes, Extremadura) es muy agradable en verano, cálido durante el día y fresco en la tarde -noche.
