It's the best.
If you go to Valdenuria, this is the only place to stay.
The facilities are old, but
it's clean and there are no problems with staying here.

We only looked at the hotel itself. We were on an excursion that took us on a tram/cog railway from the bottom of the mountain all the way to this resort. It was during the shoulder season - still a bit of snow, but not much. And not many people there, even tourists. We stopped at the bar to get something to drink - the restaurant was too high-brow to let us in for something that 'light'. They were for full-meal-deal only. We got a couple of hot chocolates that were really strong and really creamy...and really good. It's a bit far to say I'll be going back. But if I was in the area I'd consider stopping there again. It's literally only accessible by the tram.

We dropped into this hotel as it was the terminal for our little train tour. Although in June and loads of people there (mostly schoolkids - teeming with them - I think the hotel doubles as a hostel?), the cafe wasn't open, the restaurant only catered for "proper" lunches and we were directed to the bar. There were about 8 of us in there from our group, plus a young Spanish couple. The barman served the Spanish couple ahead of some of our group, which didn't really please anyone. It took an age to place our simple orders (sandwiches and a burger) and then all of us sat there without any food for about three quarters of an hour. Despite asking what was happening, we were kept being told "it's coming soon", but it didn't. Eventually, we got not very good sandwiches and my husband's burger was red in the middle. We did complain to the barman, who referred us all to reception. The reception man tried to help and offered us a drink in compensation, but our return train was due to leave anyway, so didn't even get that. It all seems half-cocked to me and, if the eating and drinking facilities are anything to go by, I would steer well clear of the hotel.

Disappointing. Instead of checking into the room at 3pm as booked, they let us in at 4.30pm, telling us to wait there. The bed linen was torn. They have removed the plug from the bathtub, so you can't take a bath, and you waste too much water.

The price-performance ratio is not good. The walls were dirty and the cooking utensils were insufficient and some were in poor condition. The refrigerator had no handle to open it, the freezer had no door and the glass in the vegetable drawer was dangerously broken. The laminate floor was loose in some areas.
