The staff is superb and maintain the environment properly. Just the room furniture is so so but justify the price.

We have just arrived back from 8 nights at Hotel Albir with 5 children in tow. We were self catering and our room was spacious and clean. A little bit dated but didn't worry us one bit, glorious views from our balcony of the pool and the sunset on the mountain. Bring your own dishcloth, fairy liquid, and pool towels, but everything else was provided. They had corkscrews, bottle openers, plentiful cutlery and crockery. There is a supermarket directly across the street, and you MUST try the homemade food on the left hand side as you enter the shop (past the cafe), all you need to do is warm it up in your microwave and it is absolutely delicious! If you have little children, I would strongly advise to take shorty wetsuits for them, I was so pleased I did, the pool and waterpark is cold but they lasted much longer in the suits. Entertainment was fun, kids club was brilliant, Manel, Juan and Alex made all the children join in and there was always something to do, we made bracelets, played shuffle board, bingo,, face painting, magic show, mini golf, uno, and loads more. Not sure I would want to go at the height of summer, it was quite busy when the sun came out but there was plenty of room for everyone especially when they opened the Asiatic Garden. Hotel was spotless, the floors were shining, could hear people in the corridor after the entertainment finished but it was no bother, wasn't very loud and didn't disturb any of the children. The waterpark was the main bonus for me, it was safe, there were lots of lifeguards and my children absolutely loved it. Beach is a 15 min walk, a bit pebbly, and a bit of a drop off into the sea so wasn't really safe for the children. Hope to come back next year!

After being swayed by numerous positive reviews, our experience at this 3-star hotel was unfortunately disappointing, leading us to rate it 2 stars. This decision was heavily influenced by our interactions with the staff, who never apologized for any of the inaccuracies or issues detailed below, and various other problems that made our stay less than pleasant. Cons: - Staff Interaction: Our welcome was far from warm, with the staff often making us feel like an inconvenience. A prime example was our experience with the bar service; our food order, which was promised within 15 minutes, took over an hour to arrive. Despite asking 3-4 times due to our child's hunger, we were not informed when it finally arrived, and I discovered it cold when I went to inquire for the last time. The staff's demeanor suggested that the delay was somehow our fault. - Room Service: Post-cleaning, our room was left without toilet paper and few towels. It took an entire day of our last day there, repeatedly requesting these basic necessities, to finally receive them just before bedtime. I had to personally retrieve them from the reception, where the staff's irritated expressions made it clear we were seen as a bother. - Noise Disturbance: The hotel was overrun by football kids, causing a racket until 1-2 AM daily. On our final night, we were disturbed by new, noisy neighbors upstairs, moving furniture and being loud throughout the night. - Room Quality: Our premium room smelled of mold and was equipped with a bare blanket, a first in our experiences with Spanish hotels. This was far from what one would expect from a "premium" offering. - Dining Atmosphere: The dining experience was inconsistent, with music playing during some meals, which was often so silent you can barely hear it, but often there was an uncomfortable silence no music at all, reminiscent of eating at a gas station. This inconsistency, coupled with the excessively loud volume during night activities, detracted from the overall ambiance. The food itself was average, lacking in flavor, and became monotonous with the same offerings for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. - Forced Participation: The night activities were particularly uncomfortable due to the forced participation. For example, during bingo, the staff would yell out numbers, often unclearly, which led to confusion and mistakes. If you marked the wrong numbers, the penalty was to perform a chicken dance in front of everyone. We found ourselves in this embarrassing situation three times, contributing to our decision to skip all activities altogether, we noticed you had to dance same thing in many others, luckily we skipped them. - Amenities: The pool bar remained closed, even on sunny days. The pervasive smell of mold throughout the hotel and its outdated decor were off-putting. Additionally, the lack of towels for sun loungers (forcing us to buy and then discard our own) and uncomfortable chairs without height adjustment were notable discomforts. Pros

Highly recommend this hotel especially for the kids. The entertainment staff were brilliant Manel was fantastic and the kids loved him there was always something for them to do. The hotel itself was really clean always smelt lovely. The staff are all very helpful and kind. The rooms provided plenty of space, great little kitchen area for self caterers And there there is a super market over the road to get anything you need. I was self catering so didn’t get to experience the food but it always smelt amazing so i would definitely go all inclusive next time. The number 10 bus stop is also right outside the hotel to take you into Benidorm along with taxis so it’s really easy to get about. Really enjoyed staying here.

Gasper is a certified legend and he deserves a pay rise if anything for his amazing work in supporting me whether it be in drinks or meals he was able to help in any shape or form. I hope to come back to Albair to get to know gasper more as I am interested in his personality and for him to provide me with more laughs and giggles
