I choose this hotel based on it being in the Somme region, had parking enough for car plus trailer and had a restaurant that was open on a Sunday. It ticked those boxes, first impressions were disappointing, on arrival we were the only ones in good sized car park, it looked deserted. The garden is unloved with a sad play area for children. Inside we were swifty checked in and waited for the bar to open at 7pm. The lady serving int he restairant and bar was friendly and attentive, despite my poor French we were able to order drinks and evening meal successfully, food was good. We were in room 1 which over looked a flat roof and back of the hotel, it is decorated to a taste that isnt mine but was fine for one night, bathroom dated, no air con but we were aware of that at time of booking, The breakfast was pre ordered and was plentiful and fresh , typical offerings for a French hotel. We would stay again if we needed a hotel in that area, keep room expectations low and you won't be disappointed.

For the restaurant, cocooning and cozy atmosphere, pleasant service, interpersonal skills of the waitress. Explanations of the dishes. We attended a meal for economic players in the region: Reception: no cloakroom service, you are on your own. Aperitif: a glass of citrus sparkling wine which does not encourage you to ask for another, which is not included in the price. Starter with the pompous name of marine pearls, in fact Japanese pearls with a few pieces of avocado, all very bland, tasteless. Dish: pork spider, decent meat with a dehydrated dauphinois gratin on the side; all presented “canteen style” Dessert: dome of chocolate swimming miserably in a very liquid custard!! All “washed down” with either a glass of very ordinary white or red wine or a beer; tap water as a “supplement”. The service is very approximate. In summary, this establishment deserves a wide detour, to avoid it!! This meal was billed at €47/person, it’s crazy!!

Often traveling in the region for 7 years for work. I have seen several owners there, some of whom leave me with a bitter taste. For me, "Le Prieuré" rose from its ashes like the Phoenix. A couple and their children took the reins of this magnificent establishment. The decoration, the bar, the dining room and the rooms have been brought up to date. Magnificent work. The welcome is impeccable. Everything is done to accommodate the customer (early departure, late meal, etc.). The chef's cuisine is well put together, varied and balanced (I try to be careful😅😅). For the rooms, they have been redone on the 1st floor. On the 2nd, it needs to be seen again... but little by little the bird is making its nest🥰. I end by wishing you a pleasant stay at the "Prieuré". All my best wishes for the new management and their staff. 🥰🥰🥰see you soon.
