Within a 10 minute walk you can access the historic old town, the dome, the central station and the Rittal-Arena. Wetzlar, also known as town of Goethe offers an extensive cultural program. The public outdoor swimming pool is located right behind the hotel. Our hotel offers 66 rooms and two junior suites. Stayed 2 nights at Best Western Wetzlar. Needed to walk~10min from train station. Check-in was smooth. Room was of good size. The safe was awkwardly high for me. There was no fridge. Had breakfast, good variety but same each day. Could walk to the town centre. I took a bus to Leica Museum. Convenient to move around.

This hotel was reasonably priced and had a good range of rooms for our group. We had secure car parking beneath the hotel, which was important for us. Great staff, Excellent rooms, and a good breakfast. When we asked for advice about the local area, the manager was very helpful and her advice was good.

The hotel has nice rooms, is located centrally in Wetzlar and has a very good breakfast. There is also a garage right underneath (costs 10€ a night) and plenty of restaurants in walking distance. The staff at the restaurant are very friendly and take care of their customers very well. However, the rooms do not have an AC and you cannot keep the windows open at night, so unless you like sleeping in 25°C +, I would not recommend staying there during summer. The WiFi is slow and unreliable and the temperature control in the shower seems to be merely a recommendation, since I had to tune it, sometimes for multiple minutes, every time I took a shower. Also, on my first checkin, I got assigned to an already occupied room, which lead to a very embarassing situation and made me afraid that someone else would be assigned to my room and suddenly burst in through the door during my entire stay, which is not something that should happen in a hotel. Yes, it was a human error, but the hotels IT system should prevent such incidents completly and this was the first time I encountered something like this in probably 250+ nights stayed in hotels.
