Comfort Suites Lake Charles

The hotel smelled HORRIBLE despite air purifiers being everywhere. The pool was cloudy and had bandaids floating in it. The handicap lift for the pool was cracked and falling apart. Upon arrival, there were French fries on the floor. My daughter pulled the sheets back and there were spiders in the bed. The hotel staff was not helpful or very nice. They didn’t want to refund me. I contacted ******* customer service and they quickly helped me and got my money back.

Room was clean, breakfast was fresh. Couch was dirty . This property could use some updates to the bedroom furniture and air conditioning. One of the staff asked my husband if he had a room there, which was strange .

First room ceiling had water damage, second room ceiling also had water damage. They had de humidifiers in the hall and also roach hotels. We will never atay here again.

Room was very spacious. Nice staff. Hotel itself is pretty run down. Took a while to cool the room. My boys breakfast had green mold on half of it when removed from the wrapper. Ice machine on floor 2 was broken.

The tub was slow to drain,and the Eggs was horrible. Elevator smell like ass and room smell liked feet.

There was hair and dust on the edge of the bathtub. There was stuff splattered on the walls. The elevator was rusty. The area felt unsafe. Housekeeping was cleaning when I left my room at 4:30 am for coffee. I didn’t feel safe leaving my purse in my room. The half and half offered for coffee was 6 weeks expired.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Hotel and rooms were clean an smell very good.

Great staff, good breakfast, my only complaint is I asked for a I got an accessible room but the tub was not a walk in tub and that’s what I needed, other than that everything was great, very neat and clean rooms and property.
