This hotel is a perfectly safe and respectable hotel near I-5 in Lakewood. This area is safer than the area further north on this street and this hotel is perfectly situated to head west toward Lakewood and University Place, north to Tacoma, and south to Olympia—all are about 15 minutes away.
The room is clean, albeit a bit small. We had a queen suite for two people. Everything worked properly, and we appreciated the full-sized fridge, microwave, and two-burner stove top. It has the bare minimum in terms of kitchen supplies, so our game plan for our next visit is as follows:
Bring paper plates, plastic cutlery, and napkins with us. The kitchen is kitted out with only one of everything per person.
Bring a small bottle of dishwashing liquid or be prepared to run the dishwasher with only 3-4 items in it each day.
Bring our own frying pan and spatula if we plan to cook breakfast on the stovetop. Don’t forget cooking spray or butter. Bring salt and pepper.
Bring a box of facial tissues and perhaps a hand towel for the bathroom. They provided bath towels and washcloths, but no hand towels.
Overall, we were pleased, and since we have a lot of camping gear, we will come again and bring some of it along. We will return.
