Novotel Banjarmasin Airport Reviews

Pros: 1) Close to the airport (but there's some airplane noise); 2) The pool and surrounding area are nice (but the water smells strongly of chlorine); 3) Rooms on the ground floor have convenient private access to the pool; 4) There's an ATM on site; 5) 24-hour security and reception; 6) If you ask reception several times, they'll bring you an extra towel or blanket; Cons: 1) The hotel clearly needs renovation and restoration, especially the furniture and fixtures; 2) Breakfast is very meager and completely lacks European food; there's not even cheese or butter (they use margarine instead), it's like breakfast in a cheap small hotel... 3) The waiters, while trying their best, are very inattentive to the requests and orders of restaurant patrons. They mix up orders, forget to order food preparation, and don't even apologize... pathetic. 4) The Wi-Fi in the room is slow. 5) Only one robe and one set of slippers are provided per double room. 6) The shampoo and shower gel are of extremely poor quality, not up to NOVOTEL standards. 7) The rooms are not soundproofed - airplane noise and the sound of the mosque's loudspeakers will disturb you constantly, even at night. Conclusion: this hotel is clearly outdated and requires renovation and serious updating, as well as high-quality oversight from the Managing Director and owners. NOVOTEL is an international, high-quality hotel brand, but this hotel, unfortunately, falls short of these high standards. I wish the hotel positive changes as soon as possible!

Was a nice short experience. Realy enjoy the pool and nice compliment as a guest of the day.

room old，sofa dirty why not throw it？ no free drinking water in room， have mosquito but no mosquito repellent liquid， air condition fans very noisy cannot sleep ， The toilet is leaking. experience so bad,maybe only avoid room 1212!

Good hotel near airport for connecting flite

Nice strategic hotel location. Its a pity the hotel is not really well maintained. Not so clean windows and room. But Star points to hotel staff for agreeing to my request of changing up the (seemingly used) bed sheet at 10 pm local time as i only managed to check in at 9pm. Room cleanliness should really be improved.

Terrible service. Nobody speaks proper English. I want the iced cappuccino and call the restaurant but have to walk to the restaurant to explain and show the picure. They messed up the order and sent me a hot one after 40mins. I have to walk back to the restaurant to order again. I waited 30mins for the replacement but no one came. After 45mins the iced Coffee came while I was taking a shower. AND THEY CHARGED A DIFFERENT PRICE FROM THE MENU. FROM 38,000IDR TO 43,000 IDR. WORST NOVOTEL I EVER STAYED
