I booked a stay at Malibest Resort hoping for a relaxing beachfront getaway, but unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing.
The property feels very dated and appears not to have been renovated for a very long time. Overall hygiene levels were quite low, which was a major concern. The staff at the front desk were not friendly and did not make us feel welcome at all.
The resort's only significant advantage is its location right on the beach. However, this comes with a major flaw: there is no proper washing area or foot shower after coming from the sand. As a result, the hotel lobby, elevator, and hallways were constantly covered in sand, making the interior feel dirty and unkempt.
The beach itself was poorly organized. There was no clear separation between swimming areas, water activity zones, and restaurant spaces. This created a safety hazard, as boats and jet skis sped very close to swimmers. Furthermore, restaurants placed their tables directly on the sand, and we often encountered food scraps and leftovers while trying to relax on the beach.
I cannot recommend this resort in its current state. It needs significant investment in renovations, a thorough cleaning overhaul, and better management of its beachfront to ensure guest safety and comfort.
