IntercityHotel Lanzhou Tower

As expected from a HUAZHU Group's mid-to-high-end brand, the product and service are impeccable. It's also quite close to the Gansu Provincial Museum, and the transportation is convenient. Full marks, highly recommended! 💯

The room was on the 38th floor or above, and the facilities were all good – definitely a solid 5-star experience. The soundproofing was excellent, and the hygiene was top-notch, though there was a faint, new-renovation smell, so I'd suggest more ventilation. Overall, the service was great. My only minor gripe is that booking required breakfast, but luckily, Nanguan Street is just downstairs, so it was easy to sample some local specialties. Recommended!

The location is great, with plenty of food options nearby. Though, comparing Lanzhou to Hangzhou, I'm really not sure which city deserves the 'food desert' label. The breakfast was plentiful and tasted pretty good. For example, the croissants were very crispy, the toast was nice, and the congee and side dishes were decent. Being on a very high floor, the views were excellent, offering a panoramic overlook of Lanzhou city. There's also a window ledge, and the lounge chair was very comfortable. There's a parking lot, so parking was convenient. The room facilities were okay. But I do have a few suggestions: The minibar was really pathetic: one Pepsi (why not Coke?), one dark beer (no bottle opener, so I had no idea how to open it), and one small bottle of mineral water (very confusing). This is probably a brand identity issue, not related to the specific hotel. The central air conditioning couldn't adjust the temperature. Visiting in March, I was uncomfortably warm. The room service said there was no fan, so the only solution was to turn off the lights and open the window for 10 minutes to let some air in (but I was worried about bugs if I left it open). This is just a temporary fix; after closing the window, it got hot again. Could you please add a switch for the smart toilet? I'd like to turn off the spray function; it sprays every time you sit down. Overall, I still highly recommend staying here.

The room was very clean. When I checked in, the lady at the front desk saw that I had a child with me, so she had the cleaning staff push the beds together. The service was excellent, and the hotel was very quiet with no noise whatsoever.
