Mercure Hotel Feitian (Lanzhou Railway Station Subway Station)

Very clean and the reception was extraordinarily friendly. Located right next to the Railway Station.

Misled by the name Dirty Expensive Don’t bother There is more value for money at other hotels. I did not check the pictures before I booked as I assumed this was part of the Mercure hotel group. The mercure hotel is cheaper and it’s 300m down the road. Had I looked properly I would have rather booked there. The towels and linen were the only clean thing about this place. The bathroom smells like a public toilet. The lobby looks like a backpackers. People who say this place is excellent are being generous. There wasn’t enough toilet paper. I had to use the tissues from the room. The bathroom is the absolute worst.Terrible. I only stayed because it was non refundable. But I think I should have just left anyways. I am thankful that I only need to be here for one evening because I want to vomit every time I enter the bathroom. I just put all the ratings to 1 because even though the location is good and the staff were friendly the stench of the toilet and unhygienic state of the room automatically downgrade the value. Kinda like misleading clients with a name.

Was only there for 10 hours. Perfect for s which over night stay near the station.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. They helped me order takeaways online and navigate the apps. The were also very quick to respond if there were issues. Only thing I would say is that the hotel is supposed to be non-smoking (that’s what I was told), but on multiple occasions I could smell smoke in the bathroom through the vent (very strong). I made a complaint and they said they spoke to the guest but unfortunately this didn’t stop. Cleanliness could have been better as when I first had the room, the room did smell smoky including the pillows. I had to re-clean the wood in the room myself with towel and soap since it was dusty and had a strong smoke smell so I couldn’t sleep and it gave me a headache. I think the rooms need a deep clean if you are to get rid of smoke smell from the bed, furniture, wood. You have your own aircon which is good so there is not a central system.

I would definitely recommend this hotel. The room was very nice, clean, and big. The internet speed was also very good. The staff were also very friendly. The only thing is that a hotel with that many rooms and floors really needs to have more than one lift. But still, I would definitely recommend. It is right next to the train station.
