This is one of the finest home stays that I have ever experienced. Try and spend more than one night here and there are plenty of activities around the farms in the neighbourhood. The rooms, bath and everything else here is outstanding. The staff of this place are ever so loving and take care of our every need. Leo and his wife the manager make every effort to make your stay perfect. The place is unique like no other. The food is also amazing. Highly recommended !

It was a great stay at the hacienda A warm welcome Room was original , hard to describe , with lots of details and a great fireplace, no way to compare with a stay in some main stream upscale hotel, so different ! Restaurant served great food in a special location, quit unique Location a remote, but you must visit !

Rude and unpleasant management. I have been to this place before with a different administration and had a good experience. Today my reservation was unexpectedly cancelled by phone shortly before the scheduled time, and I was told I would be charged more for my scheduled activity than what I was told when I made the reservation. The manager hung up the phone on me avoiding explanations, and no apologies were given.

We had a reservation for horseback riding, and they called us 30 minutes prior to our reservation to tell us we never paid them a 50% deposit so our reservation was canceled. When I tried to ask them why they had not asked us for the deposit when we made the reservation, he said there were no horses available and hung up on me. Extremely rude and unprofessional.

Where do I begin writing a review on the sheer joy of our experience here. Have stayed in many places all over but everything about this Hacienda was par excellence. The warmth with which we were received by young Leo and his wife VV and of course their dog lady gaga felt like a home coming. The Haciend is a 600 year old Inca temple and a mix architecture of sorts and owned by the family who runs it for the last 101 yrs. The gardens are stunning, and the rooms and spaces, including the courtyard, are beautiful. Felt like Alice in Wonderland. Our room had a living and bed room and a huge toilet with its own fireplace and sofa. Never experienced such luxury anywhere. The dining room and breakfast salon and the meals were another gastronomic experience with every detail being attended to. Met the lady who owned the place . Her eye for detail and grace is reflected everywhere, like in her persona. Feeding carrots to the lamas was a treat. I could go on. Never wanted to leave but hopefully wish to be back some day.

A truly unique and amazing Hacienda. It is family owned and has been for over 100 years. A very special place with an Inca Temple and Spanish heritage. The Rooms are beautiful, the staff are very friendly and welcoming and it’s been a joy to visit. Activities include Llama feeding, Horse Riding, Volcano visits and much, much more. Many thanks to both Leonidas & Lavihve and all the Team.

Beautiful hacienda that was built on a partially built Incan site. All the walls in the dining room (and a partial wall in our bedroom) were original Incan walls. Just incredible to look at them (and they are in perfect shape) and think how many hundreds of years old they are. The rooms are gorgeous, and they light fires for you at night if you want some heat (plus hot water bottles in the bed). Food was good (they could cook more Ecuador dishes would be my only suggestion) and the staff (and the young couple that run the place) could not have been friendlier. If weather cooperates, you also get stunning, unobstructed views of Cotapaxi from the Hacienda's grounds. got a perfect sunset shot!

What a wonderful place. It is rustic and you feel that you have gone back in time ... the Incas have just moved out and the Spaniards have done the place up and you've been invited to stay by the charming family who live there who happen to be descendants of the first independent President of Ecuador. The rooms are so cosy. Imagine being snuggled in bed with a colourful alpaca wool blanket and a roaring fire overlooking a beautifully curated garden. If you are lucky Lady Gaga will come and keep you company - the resident dog. The activities on offer are out of this world. I have never in my whole life fed carrots to a herd of llamas or milked a cow. We wished that we had another day there because we missed out on walks, rose farms and all sorts. The food was superb and served by the wonderful Anthony. We weren't allowed to take him home with us. Dinner was served in an Inca built dining room lit by candles. Unbelievably atmospheric and the food was delicious.

The tour and history bringing Incan, Spanish and Ecuador influence together in this one place is an experience highly recommended! The family history is fascinating and even more fascinating when one researches further. Very friendly and the feeding of the llamas is awesome!! Great food and the dining experience is truly a unique experience.
