The room was okay, with one comfortable chair and one desk and chair (€321.30). There was enough storage for one night, and it was quiet. It was also very hot, with no apparent air conditioning. We left the balcony door open all night and it was comfortable. It was also quiet. Having the balcony was nice, and the view of the park was lovely. The day we arrived, it was sunny and too hot to sit on the balcony. The bathroom had two sinks and an Italian shower. That meant no door or screen so the floor got soaked when we showered. The toilet was separate. It was so high that our feet dangled and that made sitting on it difficult. The breakfast offered was awful. No fresh fruit offered, no eggs offered, no freshly squeezed juice offered. Only carbohydrates, jams, dried cereal, dried fruit, and yogurt. Dimitri insisted on scrambled eggs, and they were made and brought. The café a longe was okay. We protested the €27 EACH charge for what they called “breakfast” and the woman at reception reduced the charge to €10.

The rooms are comfortable, but with few amenities: no spa, sauna or swimming pool, no courtesy tray (a barely functioning coffee machine in the corridor), no television (for the peace and quiet of the place, we were told). Breakfast is dismal: little choice, half-empty jam jars with dried jam from several days on the edges, 2 miserable pieces of butter on the buffet, a few very thin slices of cheese, barely cooked ham; the "fresh" fruit salad (at least 48 hours old, given the faded color of the strawberries): after our friend helped himself to a small bowl, there was only juice left. Nothing is kept cool, since there is no refrigerated buffet. Apparently you have to ask for yogurts and eggs, but since we had already waited 10 minutes for coffee, we didn't risk it any longer... (there was no breakfast attendant when we arrived: I had to go and ask at reception). The explanation given for this poor offer is that it avoids waste... As regulars of large establishments, we were very disappointed; we mentioned this to Maison Aribert, whose response unfortunately did not convince us.

La chambre est jolie et spacieuse. Le bassin d'eau chaude est tellement froid à cause d'une panne, la cafetière d'etage en panne depuis 3 jours mais la seule réponse est "ah c'est étonnant "... le personnel est agréable mais pas pro du tout et n'incarne pas du tout " l'esprit" du lieu, que nous n'avons pas du tout ressenti par ailleurs. Le restaurant étoilé fermé pendant 3 jours/semaine... contrairement à ce qui nous avait été dit au téléphone etc etc... très decevant

Nous avons trouvé la chambre d hôtes de Cathy a la dernière minute pour le trail de l euskal à St Etienne de baigorry ce w end de l ascension Un accueil vraiment exceptionnel, Carhy ouvre sa maison et,son cœur . Une très jolie maison d hôtes d un goût exquis,d une sérénité et d une propreté impeccable Un petit dej formidable,Cathy se met en quatre pour vous recevoir .
