The host was extremely friendly, with lots of tips for activities, good restaurants, etc. The breakfast was luxurious, one of the best that we had in Ireland. The rooms and appointments were very good. With the number of things to do near Clifden, we honestly regretted afterwards having only booked a single night. Definitely worth recommending and worth a repeat visit.

From the moment we arrived we felt like family. Eileen and Des are absolutely delightful. Both were more than happy to help us navigate our adventures for the day. Benview has been in their family for generations and we enjoyed hearing their family story. Our rooms were very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was amazing- freshly made, beautifully plated and delicious! It was hard to say goodbye- such a memorable place and exceptional hosts! Thank you Des and Eileen!

We had the pleasure of staying at Ben View when we were in Clifden! We had a great stay, Eileen and Des are the perfect hosts! We felt welcomed and totally at home as soon as we arrived. The room was spotless and the breakfast was the best we had all week in our travels. The Connemara region is beautiful and Eileen and Des will help you get the most of your visit. Would definitely return when we go to Clifden again.

From the moment we arrived we felt at home. Desmond welcomed us with open arms and made sure we were well taken care of. The home is beautiful and the rooms are clean. Flower boxes outside our windows overlooking the town made for amazing views. The breakfast was delicious and the service was top notch. I would recommend this cozy BnB to anyone in the area, it was a highlight of our trip!

The warmest of family welcomes in this B and B. If you are looking for a traditional, old Irish welcome with stories and wonderful food this is the place for you. Immaculately clean and a comfy night’s sleep. Thank you Eileen and Des for looking after us so beautifully. Great stop for exploring the national park including the Diamond hill walks and the stunning Kylemore Abbey. Lots of places to explore including Omey Island. Thanks again Hannah and Alan - Leeds UK

Best breakfast in Ireland! Even the coffee was perfect. Such a quaint house. A glimpse into a proper town dwelling on the wild Atlantic way. Des is very friendly and the place is spotless. Would visit again. Loved Clifden. Such friendly folks. Very helpful.

This is a lovely guest house. We stayed for three nights while touring the area on motorbikes. The great welcome which we received from Des and the unlimited local advice was greatly appreciated. The room was spacious and clean, we had fresh towels every day and the breakfast was brilliant. Attention to detail was exceptional. If we’re in the area again we would certainly come back. Thanks Des and Eileen
