I’ve stayed here before & the hotel is beautiful however the bedding/mattresses in some of the rooms is appalling.

A lovely hotel. Well situated for both the railway station and the city centre bars and restaurants.
Room was very clean and the maids attended each day.
The reception staff were very helpful too.
Wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

One of the rooms had no hot water for showering, even with the tap turned all the way on. A maintenance worker had to fix the pipes the next day for it to work.

have stayed at The Queens a few times lovely hotel travelled for 10 hours yesterday was shattered had an early night hoping for a lie in before the next part of my journey began was woken up before 7am by children screaming up and down the corridor running between two adjacent rooms slaming doors this went on for an hour when i went out all I was greeted by was the mother saying "children" I got up checked out early and went and sat in the train station, I did tell the reception desk.

It is a very beautiful hotel with lots of history. I stayed on the 7th floor and had a view across the square. There was a problem during my stay but the front of House Manager Dean who is not only funny, friendly and brilliant sorted it swiftly and efficiently for me. I will definately be staying again.
