Hotels in Xiaoqikong Scenic Area(East Gate Area)/Daqikong, Libo

My friend and I stayed here for one night. The owners were really friendly and gave us a plate of delicious watermelon on arrival, they also told us where we could do a COVID test late at night and recommended a place for dinner. The location is the same as every other place in town; convenient for the park entrance and not much else. Breakfast was simple but filling and a nice added touch. The room was clean and comfortable but a bit basic. The price is high throughout the entire town but 400 yuan a night is certainly not cheap and for this price I would at least expect certain things, like a bedside lamp. The biggest issue for me was the disposable towels. I understand maybe some people like them for cleanliness and hygiene reasons but for me the experience was like trying to dry my body with an oversized tissue, not to mention how terrible they are for the environment. I’m sure if I had asked for a proper towel, the owners would have obliged, as they did with everything else, but for 400 yuan a night it’s something I would expect automatically. All this being said, I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and overall we enjoyed our stay.

We decided to stay with this hotel because of the highly positive reviews. We did make a right choice as our overall experience was so great. The hotel is newly renovated, the room is spacious, bright, clean and the mattress and pillows are super comfy to sleep with (this is very important for us as we don’t usually sleep well when travelling). We had a breezed morning jog along the river right in front of the hotel. The experience was really good and relax. The host provided white glove services such as VIP transport to/from train station and tourist spots. Special thanks to the staffs who helped to send our leftover baggage to train station so we didn’t miss the train.  Bonus point: We witnessed the beautiful moment of sunset at their roof top (see the attached photo). This will definitely be our first choice hotel in our next visit in Libo.

My experience at Shiboge Grand View Hotel at Xiaoqikong was truly wonderful. 1. Excellent location: The hotel is right next to the Xiaoqikong Scenic Area, with a dedicated entrance for in-house guests within walking distance. Alternatively, you can take the hotel shuttle to the scenic area's east gate, which is a very thoughtful touch. 2. The hotel's amenities are in line with its brand positioning. All rooms have a large hot tub, making it incredibly relaxing to return to after a tiring day. The smart toilets are also highly recommended. 3. The bedding was incredibly comfortable, and the mountain's quietness at night made for a truly relaxing sleep. 4. The breakfast was also a delight. In addition to the usual dishes, they also included Guizhou specialties like glutinous rice and potato cakes, making it feel like you could have lunch with them. 5. The staff throughout my stay were extremely polite, and upon check-out, they even gave me a custom gift, which was a pleasant surprise. The hotel also partners with a travel photography agency, and booking a reservation will provide three free retouched photos featuring a variety of ethnic costumes. All in all, it can be said to be the ”ceiling” of accommodation in Xiaoqikong Scenic Area, recommended!

It is very close to the exit of the scenic area. You can return to the room to rest immediately after walking in the scenic area. I am very satisfied with the stay experience, clean and sanitary, the service is also very good, the check-in is fast, the room facilities are complete, the bed is very comfortable, and the breakfast is also very rich. Overall it is very good.

I did some research on Ctrip before I went there and chose this one mainly because 1. It is close to the scenic spot, 3 minutes walk 2. The reviews are good. Although the price is more expensive than usual, I was not disappointed when I arrived. The environment is no different from the pictures. The most important thing about a B&B is that it has a good environment and is clean and hygienic. Most B&Bs in Guizhou are built by locals themselves, and there is no design at all. This one is very designed. The boss is really different. The breakfast in the morning is also good. The boss is a couple, from Northeast China and Hunan. They are very nice. They prepare a route map for each guest and make breakfast personally. Nice

We stayed at Libo Yunyi Xiaoqi Homestay for 3 nights in April, 2024. The manageress, LuoDanDan , is very helpful, caring and professional. As we do not speak Mandarin, she offered to set up a WeChat connection with our mobile so that we can communicate with ease. She serves simple breakfast and even cooked dinner for us at our request. The Homestay and our room is very new, modern, clean and safe and is within walking distance to the eastgate of the Xiaoqikong Scenic Park ( which would need 2 days to cover all sites ). The small town itself is still new with many construction activities going on and the restaurants serve mainly spicy food and hotpots. Well worth a short visit and Xiaoqikong is very beautiful with many amazing waterfalls and a photographer's paradise.

It's a great experience to visit in the off-season. The boss and his family are very warm and friendly. Because it is off-season, we upgraded for free. The environment of the cabin is very elegant, the room is very clean, and the disposable supplies are fully equipped. The room facilities are very good. The toilet is Mijia smart, the room is also voice-controlled by the assistant, and the view outside the large floor-to-ceiling window is also very good. It is also very convenient to the east gate of Xiaoqikong, about 400 meters away. After playing in the evening, you can drink tea and swing in the small pavilion on the first floor. If Xiaoqikong is not only played for one day, I really want to live here for ten days or half a month. It is so pleasant.

Chat learned that the boss ran a homestay in Zhangjiajie in 2008, and it was also the first wave of people who ran a scenic spot homestay in China earlier. Many stores operated at the same time. Although affected by the objective environment, the price was in the volume, but the service still had nothing to say. The hotel's room facilities and services are very good, especially the details are very heartwarming. First of all, the hotel has a pick-up service, and the pick-up drivers are very enthusiastic. There are welcome fruits, and delicious sweet soup is delivered in the evening. After we checked out, we were given water and fruit while waiting for departure in the lobby. As soon as we entered the hotel, we felt a different style and taste. The lobby has a lot of ethnic characteristics. The front desk upgraded our room because we brought children. The room is clean, tidy and transparent. The toilet and bathroom are separated into dry and wet areas. The water flow for the bath is very strong. The whole house is smart. It is very close to the east gate of the Big and Small Seven-hole Caves. The breakfast is also rich and clean. In short, it is very comfortable to stay here. If I have time to come to the Small Seven-hole Caves again in the future, I will choose this hotel again.
