The hotel is right next to Shuhe Ancient Town, just a one or two-minute walk away. From the rooftop terrace, you can even catch a glimpse of the 'Golden Mountain in the Sun' (sunrise over the snow-capped mountains), though there's a bit of an obstruction. The owner's family is incredibly welcoming and provides attentive service, and they even offer afternoon tea. My only minor disappointment was that during our two-day stay, our room wasn't cleaned in between.

The hotel offered a beautiful mountain view, which made for a peaceful and scenic stay. The rooms were clean and spacious, providing a comfortable environment. The only downside was the lack of a lift, so we had to carry our luggage up, which was a bit inconvenient. Otherwise, it was a great experience.

All good except for my stay: TV couldn't watch any program on last 2nd day of my 5 days' stay. 90% of the TV programmes need to be subscribed or paid. Toilet rolls were replenished less than 1/2 a roll on daily basis. Noisy morning environments. Only bath towels. No floor mat or hankerchief provided. Other than that the staff were very friendly.

Very convenient location to the old town, boss gives very good recommendations for food and places of interest. I enjoyed our stay. I would want to revisit shuhe.

Everything was very clean. Hotel staff were very helping with booking of drivers etc. I had the impression the hotel was a non-smoking compound, but it wasn't. People/staff were smoking in the main lobby area, which was kind of unpleasant as we didn't like the smoke.
