I enjoyed my stay here for 6days5nights with the warm hospitality and family oriented homestay.
First thing when I reached the entrance of the homestay, the lady owner immediately approached and wanted to help carry my heaviest huge luggage. Ultimately I asked to help me on my hand luggage instead. That warmed my heart.
The breakfast which is free has a excellent spread of choices include powdered coffee with milk, warm soy, warm milk, fried rice, egg, corn, porridge fried cabbages , salads, local rice noodle soup , 4 kinds of buns and another homemade cake (may reduce the 3 high for senior) and cold seasoned sea kelps and more.
The room has hairdryer, kettle, toiletries, tea bags, bottled water , tv, button operated curtain and best of all a warm seat toilet which is automated as well.
The concierge area provides hot herbal and fruit tea, mandarin oranges and peanut and melon seeds.
There are washer and dryer machines free for hotel guests.
If you want to plan a day trip, they will help you to arrange a driver and check if you are agreeable to the price before they engaged them. This helps a lot.
The location is within walking distance to major tourist sites like the Old Town and HeiLongTan Park and museum.
However do note the narrow single lane along the homestay which driver may have some difficulties when 2 opposing cars meet.
For me it was not an issue, just stop or hail a Didi outside not far from the homestay.
I strongly recommend this homestay when you are on vacation here in Lijiang.
