Gudao Boutique View Inn

The room was very clean, the bed was spacious, and the terrace featured peach trees, with delicious peaches. What truly stood out was the owner's incredible hospitality. They even shared some delicious yak meat with us that a friend had sent from Tibet. We also enjoyed the owner's homemade wine and chatted with them as if they were family.

The facilities are comprehensive, down to the hairdryer. Cleanliness is impeccable, but what truly sets this place apart is the absolutely outstanding service! The owner is incredibly friendly and approachable, always happy to clarify any questions you might have. He even personally brews tea every morning and invites guests to share a cup. Honestly, I was traveling solo in Yunnan this time. I arrived at 3 AM and nearly found myself without a place to stay. The kind host quickly offered me a room, letting me settle in right away, and even assigned me one with a beautiful window view (Pic 4). Waking up and drawing back the curtains, the entire Lijiang Ancient Town unfolded before my eyes (Pic 5). Picture 1 is a wide shot I took from the guesthouse's viewing platform (it looks a bit overexposed due to my phone camera). Picture 2 shows a panoramic corner of the guesthouse itself. The pathways are lined with vibrant flowers and greenery, which truly brightened my mood as I walked by! 😍 If I ever have the chance to return, I would absolutely choose this place again!

An excellent choice overall. The accommodations were very comfortable, and its location is super convenient – Sifang Street is right outside. It's also a quick taxi ride to Lion Hill. The owner was incredibly hospitable, even treating us to some food and drinks upon arrival. The vibe was truly fantastic.

The inn is perfectly situated right by Sifang Street, boasting charming, traditional architecture. It's incredibly convenient for both dining and lodging. The owner is exceptionally kind and even gave us a complimentary room upgrade. We'll absolutely choose to stay here again on our next trip.

This was my last night in Lijiang, and it turned out to be a wonderful surprise! The hotel was fantastic overall. First off, the owner was incredibly friendly; seeing that we had two children, he immediately upgraded us to a bigger room for free without a second thought. I was also very pleased with the cleanliness and the overall environment. I even specifically looked at some of the other negative reviews, and honestly, I have no idea where they came from! All in all, it's just two words: absolutely superb! 👍🏻
