Premier Inn Lincoln City Centre

Hotel in good place to explore Lincoln. We have stayed in many Premier Inns including London many times, but this hotel was probably the worst experience at breakfast time. Very badly run, not enough staff there, as only 1 or 2 chefs plus similar waiting staff who were running around trying their best . Many food items were constantly running out and taking ages to replenish, some items had totally ran out like muffins, croissants etc, food wasn’t great tasting there either. Tables were left dirty for ages( not staffs fault, as did their best) . One male server was particularly busy in there, and very pleasant! It was half term so hotel was very busy, queue’s for the food were long too, therefore that should have been considered and definitely more staff needed. Totally chaotic breakfast time on both days. Even in London we have never experienced this ! Also requested a room clean, but this did not happen, just got our towels changed which I was going to mention when we checked out, but there wasn’t anyone on reception! Overall I probably wouldn’t stay at this hotel again. On the plus side, the staff were friendly and did work hard, and hotel is good for being close to Lincoln centre.

Lovely and clean, pleasant stay, 10 out 10 except for 1 member of staff,, not at all helpful. Attitude problem. When we asked about car parking,, which we knew was council owned premier inn had no responsibilities for,, we just wanted to know if we could come and go after we paid for 24hrs stay.. surely it would of been asked before, and maybe he would know. Or advice, felt he was rude.. then the same male when we came down for dinner, said it doesn't open until 6,, and food was available at 7.30.. we are not open all day, with a smirk..

Horrendous, no delivery at the hotel meant no food choices at dinner the unlimited breakfast was out of stock couldn’t even get a coffee at breakfast had to go out of the hotel for breakfast. No sleep was staying two nights cancelled and went home.

Check in process was straight forward. Room was spacious, clean and included USB charging. Bathroom included a modern walk in shower. Wifi was very intermittent and unreliable. The 2 bar and restaurant staffing were run off their feet with a lot of guests wanting either bar or restaurant service meaning it was very slow. Ordered fish and chips but was unimpressed by the lack of chips. Breakfast was not worth buying if not part of the meal deal. Location of hotel is very convenient for train station or bus station.

Thank you to bee that made our stay extra special when she found out we have just got engaged it truely made our stay. what a credit to the team and such a hard worker. A little wow can go such a long way. Keep up the good work five star service xxxxxx
