This stay was beyond my expectations! The details of the B&B were exceptional, from the comfort of the bedding to the quality of the toiletries. It was incredibly quiet at night, and I slept soundly. The balcony view was incredible, and waking up in the morning to bask in the sun and enjoy a cup of coffee was such a relaxing experience. It's a great value for money, and I highly recommend it to everyone.

This hotel is located near many of Liping's attractions including Ren Tuan Drum Tower, Tang'an Roaming Trail and Zhaoxing·dongzu Wenhua Zhanshi Center. The overall environment of the homestay is quite good. The room is very new, with many smart devices, such as the toilet and curtains, which are all smart and quite large. I booked a room with a balcony. Although the balcony was not used much, the scenery outside from the balcony is very beautiful~ The faucet of the washbasin in the room is rotatable and retractable, which is really great~ But one bad thing about the bathroom in the room is that the glass is too transparent. You can see what people are doing in the room, which is very embarrassing. Every time I go to the bathroom, I have to ask my dad to take the baby to the balcony in advance or something else. So I think it would be better if the bathroom had a liftable blinds curtain, so that there are more options~ The lady boss is very nice~ The high-speed rail station pick-up service is really considerate, and very friendly to those with children~

Wonderful hotel right in the center of Zhaoxing with an amazing view on the entire village and the surroundings. The hotel seems newly renovated, everything was beautiful and clean. Unfortunately, because of the heavy rains in the days preceding our stay, the water in the swimming pool caught some algae and they had to take it out, clean the pool, and refill it again, which is why we couldn't make use of it during our stay (we only stayed for two days). That was a bit unfortunate as the entire swimmingpool area is incredibly beautiful and with the summer heat it would have been nice to do a swim after the hikes. But all the rest was absolutely wonderful. We actually stayed there on the day of my birthday and the hotel organized a wonderful birthday cake for me and even decorated the room. It was amazing and I would like to thank the staff again for their kindness. Our arrangement included the afternoon tea and the breakfast, both of them delicious and generous. Breakfast included the typical Chinese soups, rice, etc. while also offering Western style bread, marmelade, butter and lots of fruits. What merits a special mention is the outdoor bath tub directly on the balcony. Every evening they prepared the bath tub with special bathing oils and taking a bath right before going to sleep on our outdoor terrace was a sheer delight! We will remember it as a very special place, with incredibly nice and kind people. Thank you for having made this stay so special for us!

During the two years running Anzhi, I spent over half that time as manager at a five-star homestay, learning systematic and standardized services. I tried bringing those to Anzhi too—hence the praised shuttle rides, breakfasts, and package deals you see in reviews. But I’m sorry to say, I’ve decided to step away from these practices. I usually take minibuses or pay locals for rides in and out of the village. Packages often include additional sales pitches, and I’m often too busy to eat breakfast myself. These services don’t reflect how I live. To me, a homestay should let guests experience local life—hosts should welcome visitors like old friends, not as waitstaff. Let’s keep it simple: Anzhi is your restful place in Dong Village, and I’m your guide to this world. After booking, I’ll share my genuine insights and tips to ease your travel worries. Anzhi is a rare standalone house in the village, always bathed in sunlight—the very reason my volunteer partners and I fell for it two years ago. It’s not new: structural work dates back to 2017, while soft furnishings like mattresses, quilts, bedding, electric blankets, and curtains were refreshed when I took over in 2023. Rooms are well-proportioned with large wooden-framed windows—downstairs rooms have these, while upstairs ones feature floor-to-ceiling glass. One drawback: bathrooms are compact due to the original layout. If this matters to you, please consider carefully when booking. Still, I warmly invite you to relax in Anzhi’s spacious living room anytime. BTW, we have both western toilet and squat toilet, if you have any preferences, let me know in advance. This summer (2025), I’m reviving the Long Table Feast gatherings, and our hall will buzz with new energy. Last year’s homemade sandwiches, burgers, pasta, and lemon tea—raved about in reviews—might not return, but whatever we create, you’re welcomed to try. I’m also launching cultural exchanges: a loom now sits in the hall, we’ll host livestreams with embroidery artists and vintage textile buyers, and Dong folk song masters will teach simple melodies. Beyond hosting, I’m also a psychology counselor. Occasionally, I hold emotional well-being sessions in our hall. If needed, I offer private counseling too—I’m all ears.
