I had high expectations for Demänová Rezort, but our stay was a major disappointment. We booked a trip to celebrate my wife’s birthday, only to be met with poor service, misleading information, and unsafe conditions. Cleanliness & Hygiene Issues: Our room had an old pizza box on the balcony when we arrived—clearly, it wasn’t cleaned properly. Worse, on Sunday morning, there was vomit on the road leading to the restaurant, which remained uncleaned. Uncomfortable Accommodation: The bed was just two mattresses pushed together, making it uncomfortable. There was no power outlet in the living room, which was incredibly inconvenient. Security Concerns: The building’s code lock was broken or deactivated, meaning anyone could walk in. This raised serious safety concerns. Misleading Ski Pass Info: Their website suggested an all-day ski pass, but this was misleading—important restrictions were hidden in fine print. Lack of Dining Options: At 6:50 PM, we couldn’t get warm food at the ski center. For a ski resort, this is unacceptable. Dangerous Conditions: The sidewalks near the restaurant were covered in ice and extremely slippery, creating a hazard for guests. Wellness Center Issues: We couldn’t use the wellness center as planned because of unclear restrictions, which disrupted our birthday celebration. When I raised these concerns privately, I was met with an unwillingness to acknowledge the problems. Instead of a fair partial refund, they offered a discount on a future stay—as if I would ever return after this experience. If you value cleanliness, clear communication, and guest safety, I strongly advise booking elsewhere. This place does not live up to its advertised standards.
