Hotel well located. The rooms are already starting to look a little run down, wallpaper peeling off and baseboards getting rotten. Tiny television.

The reception was very rude, and finally they wanted to charge me €100 per consumption if I consumed anything, they demanded the document from one of my clients, as this information is private, I was very upset with what happened.

Very welcoming staff, near metro station and several shops nearby, on the other hand very weak air conditioning and a nauseating smell after using the sanitary facilities.

Firstly starting with the positives. We found the hotel clean. Only a few minutes walk to the metro. A few restaurants and bars in close proximity. Now the negatives. Air conditioning was pathetic. In 35 degrees it might as well not have been on. Yes we did report it. WiFi was hopeless. Never able to connect from the 1st floor during our stay. Yes we did report it. The breakfast was very basic. No hot food whatsoever. I resorted to the same breakfast every day. Would we return if in lisbon again, no.

Do not stay at this hotel at any cost, it is by far the worst hotel we have ever stayed in - I don’t even know where to start. Firstly the hotel provided pictures on the website/Trip Advisor are incredibly misleading or at least very old as the rooms are in terrible condition. We stayed in 2 different rooms and they were equally as bad as each other. They are dark, have large damp stains all over the walls, mould and dubious stains all throughout the bathroom and shower, holes/gaps in the walls and skirting boards, shower doors don’t close and are coming off hinges and the toilet flushes are hanging on for dear life any time you push in. There was also an incredibly strong drain smell coming from the bathroom - the staff are obviously aware this is an ongoing issue, as when we entered the room, there was a makeshift keycard in the lighting panel in order to keep the lights/extractor fan on all day to try and relieve the smell. This did not work. The cleanliness on the hotel is also disgusting and it is likely infested with cockroaches - on the second night I had a very large cockroach climb up my leg in the bathroom before darting back into a hole in the wall. When notifying the staff and asking for them to deal with the cockroach they didn’t seem bothered and insisted that the hotel doesn’t have cockroaches and that “other guests must have brought them in”. 40 minutes later (around 10:30pm) the staff called our room, rudely telling us to pack our bags whilst they find a new room. After waiting 20 minutes at reception late at night, we were finally shown to a new room, only to find it wasn’t empty and someone was already asleep in the bed. This poor person was rudely awoken at around 11pm and without even a hesitation or apology, the staff just forced us out of the room and closed the door behind them. On top of this, during our stay (when it was 28°c outside) the A/C wasn’t working properly, and was only spewing out warm air. This made sleeping unbearable. When raised with reception they couldn’t care less and fobbed us off saying someone would look at it shortly. They never came. After chasing the reception staff several times, they admitted it wasn’t working throughout the whole hotel and that a technician will have it fixed by the morning, only offering a fan when pressured. The A/C was not fixed at all for our entire stay - I imagine it never will be. Despite their attempts to deceive us, their air con is clearly an ongoing issue as they have a room full of fans ready to hand out to guests. It should be illegal to advertise the hotel rooms with air con if they have no intention of fixing the air con. We were not the only guest to complain about the lack of air con or the cleanliness of the rooms. Normally we would have upped and left after the cockroach incident, however, as we had prepaid through a 3rd party agent with a difficult refund policy, we couldn’t guarantee we would get our money back if we left. This is almost a moot point tho

As mentioned in previous reviews, the hotel lobby smelt of toilet, the rooms were outdated and well worn, the air conditioning in my room on the 7th floor was not working and beware if you book in Portugal and do not speak or read Portuguese as they offer you a deal but if you have to amend the booking they will not make any changes due to some verbiage that’s deep in the booking that it’s non amendable. ( In Portuguese) You also have to pay for coffee and the room offers zero extras as most hotels offer. Like water cups, coffee, etc. The staff were friendly but not helpful at all. I will not be staying at any of their hotels due to the inflexibility to make changes in any of their “ Special Offers” - to me it’s like a bare and switch. Get you money then screw you. Sad really but BEWEAR before you book.

We have just returned from a 4 night stay, the pictures of the rooms are in line with how the rooms actually look. The hotel was always really clean, the rooms were cleaned every day to a high standard. The beds were spacious and really comfortable. The bathroom was a little small, but had everything that you could need and the shower was really good. The air con was good. The hotel is around a 20 min walk from the main part of Lisbon, however I’m glad I wasn’t on my own as I wouldn’t want to be a lone female walking back there. The only downside of the hotel was that the housekeepers came quite early around 8:30am so some mornings woke us up, however they did always return later on in the day. Overall, great value for money.

If you come here for business or Holiday trying to connect to the internet was a nightmare. Everytime we mentioned to reception nothing was done to correct the signal, I think they may know about this continued problem. Not good for customer satisfaction, this wasted all our time not being able to connect and book tours etc and do business online.
